Also, have you tried removing the canopy altogether i.e. the entire frame? I believe there was a mention in one of the reviews that it can be removed and put back in place quite easily.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will send the feedback to Mahindra via email.

I am not yet aware of any aftermarket CT options - anyone comes across these, please share. Also, I did not know that the canopy can be removed altogether. I will have to explore this.

Yes, I've done that - one of the pics on the most recent update on my ownership thread is with the CT completely removed. It is held in place by 4 banana plugs, 2 in each side. Pull them, and you can slide it off the hinges, removing the top completely!

Congratulations !!
I got my Thar (D HT M, Galaxy Grey) from Automotive Mahindra, Jubilee Hills showroom in Hyderabad on February 03, 2022. Done with first servicing and already have clocked 2800+ Kms. Sharing few pictures of Thar inside Srisailam Tiger Reserve. Got lucky to do Jungle Safari on my own Thar. It was Sheer pleasure.

Re: Mahindra Thar : Official Review

It will be 2 weeks since I have had the car with me, It spent 2 weeks in the workshop after delivery for reasons best known to M&M

Went for a drive to the beach in the morning. However didnt dare take it on the sand. I didn't want to be the posterboy for the newbie jeeper meme's Mahindra Thar : Official Review-whatsapp-image-20210316-8.44.01-am.jpeg

Due to the wiring issues have not yet got a camera, nor have i touched the ICE in the car.

However some subtle mods are in place, as shown in the pic below
Mahindra Thar : Official Review-fld.jpeg

Hopefully would do the ICE after the first service

Defeats the purpose of safety though

It now has a release lever like most other cars
The release cable runs from below the drivers seat to the fuel lid

Self explanatory pics

Re: Mahindra Thar : Official Review

Finally my Thar has arrived at dealer with infotainment.
Will be doing a PDI tomorrow.

Even though the old price is applicable for my booking, road tax is being calculated for the new price.
When I questioned, dealer said it cannot be changed and the same needs to be paid based on the new price.

One question to Bhpians who got the delivery - Did you pay the road tax for old ex-showroom price or the revised price?

On a related note, what would be the delivery timeframe for a booking made now? Folks who have made a booking recently should know.
