| ![]() So around Rs 75K to 1 lakh premium over different variants of Harrier, good pricing IMO. Introductory pricing? depending on marker response they have margin to increase. Last edited by S.MJet : 22nd February 2021 at 11:38. |

| ![]() Tata Motors has launched the all-new Safari in the Indian market. The SUV is available in 6 variants - XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ and XZ+. It features Tata's latest Impact 2.0 design philosophy. While the front fascia is identical to the Harrier, it gets a chrome grille and a unique rear end with slim tail lamp clusters. ![]() The Safari is available in 6 and 7-seat configurations, with the former getting separate captain seats for the second row. The SUV gets Oyster White seat upholstery and Ashwood trim on the dashboard. Safari Adventure PersonaThe top-spec XZ+ variant comes in "Adventure Persona" trim. It is finished in a unique shade called Tropical Mist with a piano black grille and exterior trim. It comes with Charcoal Grey alloy wheels. On the inside, it gets Earthy Brown upholstery and dark chrome trim with piano black surfaces. Tata Safari feature highlights:

| ![]() I think these is very well priced close to the harrier. Any way at the end of the day the customer walking in for the harrier might think of upgrading to a safari.either way it is win win for TAMO. Btw what is "Adventure persona" ? | ![]() Spot on pricing by Tata Motors! The Safari will attract some the potential buyers of the Harrier too, which in my honest opinion would not be a bad thing. Due to this, we would get to see more Safaris on the road and once the base has been set, Tata can very well increase the price a bit to differentiate the two brothers. Tata has left very little room for Mahindra to play with the price of the upcoming XUV 500. The strategies Tata Motors is coming up with these days are really phenomenal. Great times ahead! Piyush |

| ![]() Excellent pricing. For extra 1 lac over Harrier, we get lot of kit. 1) Bigger car 2) All 4 disc brakes. 3) Bigger tyres 4) Sweet blue shade 5) Fresh looking interiors 6) additional seats. 7) electronic parking brake. |

| ![]() They should call this the Safari chromeless. The grill looks much better and the blacks are so much better than the grays. The seat colour too would be much more maintainable in the long run. I just wish instead of this teal colour they had made it in silver. The pricing is spot on. It is right in the range I expected. Should sway quite a few fence sitters. Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Liked the pricing! For just 70k odd more ex-showroom over the Harrier - there is sufficient kit on offer to justify the price difference across trims. Lets see how long the intro-pricing stays effective. I guess 1 month or so maximum. Given that I love the Safari's looks compared to the Harrier's - I wouldn't mind spend the extra to get the Safari instead of the Harrier when I walk into the showroom. Presuming I'm ready to spend 20 big ones - what's 1 more in it? Key question remains to be simple - will people want to put 20 big ones on it in the first place? I feel its worth it. As for the "adventure persona" - if its just a colour job inside out - Dhuh. The name itself is quite lame to begin with. A variant that shouldn't have been. Its about time Tata stopped charging premium prices just for colour shades that don't cost anything extra on the input side. I feel it will be counter-productive in the long run for these cars which typically already tend to lack on electronic features compared to competition. Infractions: 0/2 (9) | ![]() Wow, I don't see these introductory prices holding for long. Will be interesting to see the boost in volumes the Safari brings to TML's monthly figures. |

| ![]() Great pricing by Tata. 70k-100k premium above Harrier is totally justified. Wish they could have launched AT in XT+ variant as well since XMA is barebones. I believe Safari will cannibalise some sales of Harrier as well. |

Infractions: 0/1 (5) | ![]() I think this is not a very smart move. This way, they are cannibalising the sales of Harrier by Safari, not adding sales. The added advantages are too good to be ignored, including the better street presence. They should have kept a difference of 1 lakh at least. Last edited by GTO : 23rd February 2021 at 06:58.
