Yes, as of now that is the only color combination on offer for the Legender, for both 4x2 as well as 4x4.

Re: 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender & Facelift Review

A query on tyre pressure:

If we are filling Nitrogen, is still 29psi the ideal pressure or should it be higher?

Also, is there a difference between the reading that is displayed on air pump machine and the actual pressure in the tyres.

An operator at a filling station told me that there is about 3 points difference between what is displayed on machine and actual pressure in tyres.

I wasn't convinced and asked him to stick to 29. but will like to confirm with experts here.

Interesting. Is it supposedly 3 points higher or lower than what is displayed in the machine?

I don't think so there is any difference. A pump should reflect in tyre pressure, but wanted this to be validated here by Team-BHP community.

The pump operator said, its about 3 points lower in tyres.

Hi Surya,
I also got suspension changed last week. Changed all four springs and struts to Dobinsons(Australia) lift kit setup. Apart from these also installed drive line spacer kit which is recommended in case of lift is exceeding 30mm to avoid any drive line vibrations.
Got these fitted from GT Tunerz, Delhi. They did an amazing and professional job of fitting the entire lift kit.

Re: 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender & Facelift Review

Finally after a long wait for a month, my legender 4x4 Automatic arrived at the showroom. Here are few snaps sent by the sales person. Eagerly waiting to take delivery and unable to sleep. So started writing this reply. Forgot to mention, recently sold my Fortuner 4x2 Automatic for 32 Lakhs which i bought in late 2016.

Staring early morning tomorrow, close to 300kms to take delivery of my Legender.

Please can anyone suggest me, what else could i take care before taking delivery?

Awesome! How did you source Dobinsons kit? Is there a seller in India? I also have installed the drive line spacer kit, which in fact was supplied by ARB.

Could you both share pics and details of the driveline spacer kit.

Oh and the most important point, how is the Dobinsons performing in your Fortuner over the stock suspension.

Re: 2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender & Facelift Review

Got my Fortuner yesterday. It is a black 4x4 AT with chamois interiors.2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender & Facelift Review-photo1635070968.jpeg

The spare tire is a simple steel wheel in black color now. I would have preferred this for the other 4 wheels too rather than the chrome color alloys. I have to black them out anyway.

My previous car was a Hexa AT. The primary reason for the upgrade was to satisfy the 4x4 itch. The drive home from the showroom was my first ever drive of a Fortuner.

The engine's torque characteristics were very impressive. It does not seem to have any turbo lag at all. My Hexa's engine is more or less dead till 1500 rpm. The gearbox was not very impressive. I felt it was not sure whether to drop a gear or continue in the same gear every time I tried to overtake. It was taking a moment longer to take every decision compared to Hexa. May be it will do better once my feet get used to its accelerator behaviour. I am yet to try the paddle shifts.

Congratulations. Look out for paint blemishes and chipping of roof wrap. I heard there were few instance of minor chipping of wrap. Get the air pressure checked, dealers in general over inflate. Also do get AdBlue level validated, ideally should be topped up.

Congratulations. The gear shift is not fast but does better job in Normal and Sport mode than Eco. I use Normal mode mostly and Sport on highway. Eco only in heavy traffic or when cruising at speed less than 90 on highway. In general car likes to hold onto to a gear for longer and downshifts bit aggressively.

Paddles can be useful while downshifting, especially when you want to overtake or while descending on ghats when you want to limit the gears. Downshifts using paddles are quick but upshift happens only when the car is in range(RPM/speed).

Congratulations on the black beauty. I got the alloys and the other chrome parts painted mat black (snaps are in the same thread), but had to get it repainted again when it got chipped during wheel balancing. That reminds to tell you that a wheel balancing is recommended after painting of the tyres since the tyres are removed from the alloys for painting.

I got my kit from Dr. Nano Suspensions India who is official distributor of Dobinsons in India. Confirmed this via mail from Dobinsons Australia.
