Got a call from their backend team, after I tweeted to them with the screenshot of the error. Seems there are some niggles in the coding, which they are trying to resolve. Multiple users I know are also facing the same error.

I do not remember the name, but there's one accessory shop on the NH4 highway at the Katraj bypass (if you go from Baner side, it will be on your left). Saw a lot of XUV700s and Scorpio-N's there.
I wanted to go there but got a better deal and confirmed stock for all I needed in PCMC itself.
Check for quality of flooring and floor mats before buying, especially if you opt for 7D mats, because some of them re-stitch cloth on rubber mats all sell them as 7D ones.

Many congratulations to you! That's a perfect upgrade for the Creta.

In the same week I could make a short visit to the showroom and saw the car in flesh. While everyone was going gaga over interiors and mixed reactions on exteriors…for me exterior appeared very matured and for my liking while interiors looked bit rushed. The plastic reminded us of our 2005 Wagon R and we decided same day that we will not pursue Creta FL.
You have aptly put in the thoughts of a 1st-gen Creta owner, probably majority of them must be having the same feeling.

I too had a chance to drive the Creta FL two weeks back and to be very honest , apart from the looks I wasn't very impressed with the car. Not that I didn't like the looks of the pre-FL model ; but for sure this one looks better. Sadly , I cannot say the same thing about the interiors. You can immediately see a stark difference in the fit & finish of the 2024 Creta v/s the 2015.

8 years & 80k kms on the ODO and my Creta doesn't squeak or rattle from any corner. However, the current-gen has a squeaking centre console from Day-1 and sadly inspite of numerous complaints it hasn't been fixed in the FL model.

I somehow felt that the Seltos is relatively better put together than the Creta. Maybe this is my perception and not a reality. Inflation and rising input costs , etc. is all okay , but the current gen Creta simply looks overpriced for the 25 big ones! This wasn't the case when the 1st-gen Creta was launched. It did feel quite solid.

Sorry for the OT post.

I noticed Mahindra Lens option on Adrenox app. Not sure if it was there earlier. It's like Google Lens which opens camera, when pointed to the dashboard error or warning signs, decodes them. Cool

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hi,

What is the default Adrenox subscription period for a new vehicle? Does it depend on the variant?

Cheers

By the way, I have not renewed adrenox subscription which expired back in Nov'23. Last week, Mahindra sent a WhatsApp msg with offer of 2499 special renewal for 1 yr.
Looks like they got up from deep slumber to entice old guinea pigs to purchase this

2 years only for AX7 and above. For others,it was just 1 year. I took delivery in Jan,2022. AX5. Only one year subscription was given. I didn't renew it after that year

I got my AX7 L in Oct 2023. They have standardised all subscriptions to one year. The renewal amount is showing as 2499 for the past month, though. It used to be 4999.

May be they made it 1 year later for AX7 and L later. But in the first few months of launch,I remember these variants getting 2 year subscription free. People who bought early can confirm?

Mine is AX7L, purchased in December 2022. It's a two year subscription, expiring in December this year.

Yes, that was given in lieu of delay for activating Android Auto and Apple Car Play.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Hello esteemed members, it's amazing to finally be a part of this forum (I have lurked here for over a decade, but finally applied for a membership since I thought I can now contribute as well).

For my first post, I'd request some suggestions for my car buying decision. I have recently booked an XUV700 AX5 Petrol Manual as a replacement for our ageing 2016 Diesel Brezza.

Important factors;
  • Budget is 20 Lakhs, can stretch a little.
  • Has to be a petrol (I live in Gurgaon).
  • Preferably an SUV (Tall family - I'm 6'1, family will only get bigger in the next 2-3 years, with having kids on the cards).
  • Performance is a priority.
  • Preferably a manual, with EVs coming up I feel I want to enjoy the last of manuals. Already have an automatic hatchback for crowded city runs.

Cars considered;
  • Virtus GT - Love the looks, loved the 1.5 engine and the pull. Practicality and space seemed low. For 20+ OTR, it just seemed less car for too much money.
  • Safari Pure Plus - Smashing looks, in fact, for the Safari's looks I thought of considering a diesel mill. But the horror stories are never ending, so will probably have to stay away.
  • Seltos 1.5 Turbo HTK Plus - The weird feeling IMT, no option of a proper manual is keeping me away, from otherwise a handsome well-rounded VFM car and variant.
  • Scorpio N Z8 Manual - Comes very close to the XUV, almost booked it, but XUV seems a better engineered and more reliable car.
  • XUV 700 - Did not even test drive it, but having owned the first gen XUV and test driving the Scorpio N petrol, I was already convinced. Decent looks, SUV practicality, smashing engine, and good car-like dynamics have made me finalize it.

I'm likely to get delivery by March-end, but still open to suggestions as I'll be keeping this car for at least 7-8 years.

Re: Mahindra XUV700 Review

Dear XUV7OO owners,

I am confused between Hycross GX (7 seater) and 2023 Mahindra AX5 Diesel AT (5 seater):

Here is the quick comparison of the important features:
Mahindra XUV700 Review-hycrossvsxuv7oov1.jpeg

Interiors of 2023 Mahindra AX5 (MT):
Mahindra XUV700 Review-ax5.jpeg

Interiors of Hycross GX:
Mahindra XUV700 Review-gx.jpeg

Both are similarly priced around Rs.25.5L on road at Bangalore (2023 XUV7OO models may have some discounts)

My biggest issue is missing defogger in such a huge Hycross and bland interiors, while I am ok with diesel XUV7OO.

What do you recommend?
