grules, this has been discussed extensively in the forum. this is not a defect but a case of VW going overboard with design. So the baseline, please read the manual before playing with the wipers.

Are you sure its the 1.6 version? AFAIK, it hasn't been launched just as yet. Is VW accepting bookings already?

April He booked for 1.2 highline petrol , Aug was promised delivery then in July they changed the delivery date to end of Sep or Oct. He was not happy with the delay, was trying to cancel the booking then they assured Aug 1st week delivery for 1.6 highline. As assured he is getting it tomorrow morning
1.6 Cost just ~30k over 1.2 highline

Has the deliveries of VW Polo 1.6 started? Now, is the car officially launched yet?.

I dont understand the logic behind why VW has not officially announced the launch of the 1.6. They should at least have cars for TD before the start deliveries.

I have booked for a 1.2 petrol in June and the expected delivery is in Sept. I am in a bit of a dilemma now - would like to change to a 1.6 but need to TD one first.

The VW website says N/A under the 1.6 option. I wonder how VW accepts booking and is ready to deliver the car when no information is officially available. 30K over the 1.2 for a 1.6 is too good to be true. Makes the 1.6 the obvious choice then for most buyers.

He is also very exited about it at the moment, in fact this is the first Polo 1.6 in Karnataka (as per dealer )

VW pricing is a killer i must say, (7.3 BLR on road )you get 1.6 Polo High line

Jazz (basic model) Ex-showroom is 7,34,471.00
i20 (Asta) Ex-showroom 5,78,649.00

His car is still in TEMP registration , dealer say it will take 2 or 3 weeks to get it registered

So it looks like its special delivery and normal delivery should start after 3 weeks time

We're currently compiling a summary review of the Polo (based on ownership form submissions). I am pleasantly surprised with how most owners have given their after-sales experience a good / excellent rating. Nice work VW, keep it up. This is the single largest differentiator you can have over Skoda.

Too bad about long delivery periods though.
