New member - 118 NE

Here is a new member of FCB. This time it is a 118 NE. Car is owned by 2 close friends Chethan and Daya. They love old cars and wanted one. When they saw this 118 NE, they just fell in love instantaneously. Car was recently done up by the previous owner. Unfortunately Chethans Tbhp id wasnt approved so he cant post. I am posting the pics on his behalf.

Chethan is a young guy and very passionate about the 118 NE. We plan to have a separate club for the NE's in Bangalore with the help and blessings of FCB. Motto and vision would be on the same lines as that of FCB.

Model: Premier 118NE Petrol with AC - 1989
Ownership: 2nd

I drove the car today. It appears and sounds excellent. Car has a lot of power and literally zooms even on LPG. Petrol is not being used. I wonder how it would perform on petrol. It would be like a rocket?

Here are the pics:

EDIT: More pictures including interiors and engine bay would be posted during weekend.

Good luck to Chetan and his new found love interst. This should be a 1989/1990 car.

This car is damn addictive, no wonder i've been using my friends car since a month.

Its indeed a 1989 model. Its big time you too consider getting one. They come cheap compared to other oldie cars of its period. I can give you some leads on good cars and will be extremely happy to see one with you

Also, Chethan felt very happy seeing his car on TBHP and also noted that it appears on the 118th page of this thread. What a co-incidence

Good to know the owner is happy with her, she is to be loved guys. Come On!!

Yes Mehul sir you are right! what is to be appreciated is he choose Fiat (though Delight) as a car to give this expensive mod. 2nd point he did not deviate with other diesel engine but again 118NE so this makes me understand he is a Fiat lover.

She is a HOT RODDER in FCB stable, just enjoy.

Congratulations!! chethan and Daya for the buy. She is a metal wonder. You made a right choice by 118 NE with which you've got the luxury on wheels. Keep loving it.

Yes Arun saar! I need to restore the car however it will take some time. For now I will just enjoy her as she is. When times comes BooM!! you will find a stunner

FCB hopes the car gets fixed soon and stays more with the owner than at the garage.

This Padmini was pretty good and didn't really require a paint job. Or is it FCB effect?!

Yes Arun! He was inspired by our club and wanted his Fiat to look beautiful when FCB members see it for the first time in any upcoming meet/rally.

FCBian Mr. Reddy's Fiat 1100 Select almost ready to hit the roads! I had posted pics previously when it was still under restoration.

Sadly the Select original grill is missing and replaced with that of Super Select.

In my opionion the alloy wheels dont suit this classic. Stock rims would do a lot better

Those are stored away nicely. These alloys also look cool.
