Sent a reminder message to Muqthar Hussain about the HCSC meet tomorrow. Also called up Mr. Farooq (Yaser's uncle) to remind him about the meet. Unfortunately he won't be able to make it as he is down with fever. However he has requested me to keep him posted about the next meet. I had no luck in contacting the Vespa owner who visits our apartment. See you all tomorrow.

A sunny morning and myself and Rahul,the only 2 riders met up on Tank bund and headed towards Secunderabad club to take a peek at the Vintage car display.We were simply blown away by the range of cars,jeeps that were in dispay at Secunderabad club.
We rode back to my home to assemble my scooters and that of Rahul and made up the meet a memorable one.
Unfortunalty,I clicked no pics of the scooter meet as it was Rahul ace hand with his bazooka which did the justice to the pics.

Hello Folks,

All the previous HCSC meets had 4 Team BHPians with their 4 scooters. This meet was different! It had 2 Team BHPians and 6 scooters! My Red Bajaj Super and Ram's collection of scooters!! Since the turn out for the meet was half of what we had in the previous meets, I thought why not request Ram to show case his collection and he kindly agreed.

We met at Tank Bund where we took a few pictures and then proceeded to the Secunderabad Club to see the Vintage Car Rally. We were engrossed there till 12:30 and then headed for Ram's home. Ram introduced me to his family. They joined us when we lined up the Italian beauties for a photo session!!

Sorry folks couldn't be a part of the fun day. I wonder where Suren anna has gone infact he is due to reveal his PL170. Thanks Ram and Rahul for running the show though you were twosome but awesome. Boy that's the spirt of HCSC, proud to be a part of it.

Hello Folks!!

This post is what I would call a 50-50 post. The reason being it is half off topic and half related to this thread!! Off topic as it is about a car and related to this thread because the car is from Vespa!!

I was surfing the net checking out details about Vespa and to my surprise found out that Vespa had also made a 400cc car back during 1957-1961. Refer to the link : Vespa 400 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wow!! Wow!! Wow!! instant greedyness crept into me, I wish I had known this before and got one , but I presume if there is atleast one in whole of India. Thanks Rahul for this wonderful find how come no one else found this. Can someone courier those wonderful wheel caps to me for my vespa?

I some find some similarity between these Vespa cars to that of Fiat 500 and other early models starting from the riverse doors. I am happy to be part of both the sides FCCH and HCSC.

Vespa 400 was the only car from Piaggio it ever made.I dont think there are any in India.
I think it is perfectly fine to post about Vesp 400 on this thread,but may be we dont get too carried away.

Thanks Ram for supporting my post about the Vespa 400 on this thread. Yes, we will stop discussing about it and will not get carried away!

Speaking about coming back to topic, today I met the owner of the Vespa who visits our apartment. When I told him about HCSC, he was really excited about it. He said that he owns two Vespas! The picture of the blue Vespa that I had posted is a 1964 model and the other one that he has is a 1962 model. He said that the 1962 model requires some work to be done which he will be starting soon. I have taken his contact number and he has promised to join us for the next meet.

Hello Folks,

Let's start planning for the next HCSC meet in advance. First we need to deceide on the date. 16th January 2011 may not suitable for some as it is Sankranti festival time. 23rd January 2011 looks like a more suitable date. We need to make this a grand meet with maximum participation!! Fellow HCSCians, please pour in your thoughts.

Rahul..Jan 2011 is a busy month of everyone.Also Pongal and Republic day holidays are filled with events.There is Deccan Heritage Rally on 26th Jan.
Hence we have not planned any meets for HCSC next month
Also im not in country from mid Jan till the end of month,Bala is also away on Piligrimage.
Hence we will plan a grand meet in Feb 2011.
This will also give us time to mobilise more scooter enthusiasts.
Thanks for taking the initiative.
