All you will need is pass from Telangana ( as leaving out of TG) or Pass from Maharastart (as Entering in to Maharastra) pass, either of the passes will work.

couple of days ago,I was checking for Transit pass from KA for travelling to Chennai, however the website confirmed that if u are passing through KA, you will not need any pass, like wise you would not need any transit pass while crossing KA border. All you would need is a destination pass either from TG or MH.

Rules keep changing every now and then, please check on transit pass on KA website even before the day you start.

No pass is required from 01st of July for Inter-State movement. Same had been updated in Telangana EPass portal. Pune portal is not updated yet.

Now you will need to have a transit pass from KA Seva Sindu portal if you are travelling from Pune to hyd.

Did Mumbai - Hyderabad - Mumbai last week; below is an update of the trip:-

1. Mumbai - Hyderabad - 31/07/20

Beautiful roads all through, Just small patch between Naldurg - Omerga is bad.
Rest clearly marked diversions there throughout.
Was stuck at Lonavala for 1.30 hrs due to truck accident.
Left at 4:30 am from Nerul Reached Hyderabad at 4 pm.
Fastag was seamless.
Passes weren't checked anywhere in MH.
At KA border cops asked for the Seva Sindhu application no. and noted down my car details!
3 Bio Breaks & 1 Fuel break taken

2. Hyderabad - Mumbai - 09/08/20

Left Hyderabad at 05:30 am and reached Nerul at 0400 pm.
Beautiful roads. Passes werent checked anywhere.
Omerga - Naldurg around 3kms bad patch; rest the roads were beautiful all through.
Fastag was seamless.
3 Bio Breaks & 1 Fuel break taken

Thanks Vishnu, I had been looking for this information, plan to drive Hyd-Mumbai-Hyd in the last week of August.

Was an e-pass required when you drove back from Hyd to Mumbai? at KA border? I tried looking for a pass to enter Maharashtra but could only find e-pass for goods vehicles.

While Applying the MH epass there is an option to enter date of return journey, i was asked about this at Solapur.

At KA while applying for pass via Seva Sindhu portal, date of return journey is there. Transit travelers just need the acknowledgement no. of this, however I wasnt stopped at KA while returning to Mumbai.

Requesting updates from anyone who travelled recently.
I am planning to travel from Hyderabad to Pune and back on 20-21 August.
I don't see any transit pass option now in KA-Seva Sindhu portal. Does that mean we don't need a transit pass for KA ?
Also, to enter MH do we need to apply for any pass now?

I couldn't find the pass either for MH and KA. Learnt from multiple sources that most check posts are deserted now. Let me know about your experience, I am driving next week.

Travelled from Hyderabad to Pune on 20th.
Never been stopped for any checking enroute.
Only at entry of Pune, just after the abondoned toll plaza there is a small police tent , without any police inside. Seems like norms have been relaxed now.
Route updates: Omerga to Naldurg route is patchy and very bad inside highway villages. From Sholapur to about 2nd tollgate, the express way also has some shallow pot holes, couple of bigger pot holes here and there. So, if driving at night, pls watch out on that section to avoid nasty surprises.
Other than that route is good. Took 10.5 hrs to travel from Hyderabad to Pune.

When ever we travelled from Pune to HYD our stop is at Hotel Gujarat, decent one both in terms of food quality/ rest rooms/ HP fuel filling point in the same premises

I've done Hyderabad to Mumbai and back two weeks ago, encountered a normal vehicle document check near Humnabad, no checks or check posts on the return journey. Although there were more than usual patrol vehicles equipped with speed guns throughout the route.

Roads were excellent except for the 100 odd kilometers after Solapur.
