@Harry - I am aware that 2 scoops = 1 serving = 50g of protein.

@Sha09mel - I guess working out never came up, especially with cars and business that was being discussed. If am going to take 100g of protein a day then my tub of isopure will last me 11 days. One tub cost me 3300 which means I have to spend 10,000 a month for protein supplements, which is a bit expensive, no?

I eat a lot of daal and vegetables in all meals and I eat yoghurt which has about 7.5g of protein per cup (my cup).

So my question is do I need 100g of protein or 50g or 75g? from isopure.

I am lifting weights in the morning and swimming for 45 mins to an hour in the evening.

30g protein post-workout is enough. So you should take 1-1/2 scoops only.

@spawnofsatan - 1 scoop post workout with water is fine.

You haven't mentioned the lbs of the tub you are using. Is it 2lbs or 5lbs?

There is a diet regime to be followed depending on the intensity of your workout, so by eating dal & veg's is good but won't be sufficient.

Try to split your routine to 5 days weights & 2 days swimming (cardio) and make sure you take 3 tbsp of glucose immediately after workout/cardio followed by 1 scoop of whey protein after 15/20mts.

I was talking about the Neulife store in Lokhandwala, I generally buy my stuff from there. Not sure if it's called Rikin's, but the stuff they sell is good and original.

@Sha09mel - The size of the tub is 3lbs.

Well I do one part of the body a day, so I lift weights 6 days a week and on the same day I go swimming in the evening. I don't lift super heavy weights, I am lifting mediocre level weight with 8-12 reps (3 sets). I want to bulk up but I need to lose weight alongwith this. Weight loss is a priority, but I also want to build muscle.

Any other advice to target my goals?

@pranavt - Neulife, need to check on that (sounds more of herbal, aurvedic stuff) just my two cents.

@spawnofsatan - Rs 3300/- for a 3lbs jar is expensive, at the same price you can get a 5lbs jar supplying the same amt of protein per intake.

If you lift average weights, my advice would be to switch to 2 body part a day with 10-15 reps (3sets).

IMO you are can get a better deal for protein.
3lb jar for 3300 is not a good deal.
Lets see-
21 servings of 50 gm each means -1050 gm protein per tub which means 3.14 rs per gram.
Now if you take Iso sensation 93 which i got from alfa in mumbai for 4200(5lb tub) then its serving size is - 69 and 30 gm protein each which means - 2070 grams per tub i.e 2.02 rs per gram.
Check it out.

I do know this is expensive, but Isopure in general is the most expensive protein supplement around. The reason being it is a 100% whey protein isolate. In contradiction other proteins have carbs and sugar, a luxury I can't afford. I really cannot put on any weight at all (in terms of body fat) and hence must stick with isopure.

Google Isopure and look up its reviews.

I think you had not checked iso sensation 93 profile.
It has better profile than isopure.
Anyways what you like is what you should get

I checked out the nutrition content, looks pretty good, I will get this once I am done with isopure. How much does a 3lb tub cost?

How have you found its results?

The problem with Isopure is that the protein it contains is ion-exchanged which is inferior to CFM/CF/MF versions. This ""clear protein" concept is good for marketing only. If you really want to for a top class Isolate then for AST VP2 or 4EverFit Isolate since GF Pro is discontinued.

Neulife is an authorized distributor for most of these brands like BSN, ON, Isopure, etc. It's in Lokhandwala near Axis bank.

I have been using ISO sensation 93 for some time now and am totally hooked on to it.its very good.better results than any other i have used till now.i have used ON,gaspari myofusion, cyto etc

this is way better.

It doesn't come in 3 Lb it comes in 2 or 5 Lb.look for the hologram and importer sticker of paradise nutrition to confirm it being original stuff.

Also a tip for varifying whether its original or not is that the original one is very very sweet.too sweet for my liking but nothing can be done. Also another point is that whether you buy any flavour the taste is only sweet.you can't actually make out a difference in the flavours.

If it is sweet, then how is it sweetened? Sugar? because I am also losing weight so I need to keep that in mind.

All these protein powders are sweetened with Sucralose/Ace-K or Aspartame. None of them is sugar The carbs in them whatsoever, comes from Maltodextrin and/or are naturally occuring as impurities/NPC.
