There are lot of such silly pricing deals. I purchased a Bosch dish washer yesterday at a grand discounted lightning deal of saving Rs 9. Normal price was 31499 and lightning deal took it to 31490. Silly and I think they slot it so it appears in the lightning deal category more than anything else.

Re: The Online Shopping Thread

Been tracking a few items and prices always seem to go up just before 'discount sales', every single year

Re: The Online Shopping Thread

Has anyone here bought car spares from industrybuying<dot>com?

Somehow they're selling my car's boot struts at 1/3rd the OEM price.

Not exactly car spares but got the engine compression gauge kit. I bought it just for the adaptors as rest can be upgraded cheaply. Turns out the decompression valve leaks. So not worth buying from them, just check the complaints against then on consumer forums.

How are the products sold in Decathlon? Before reaching the shop browsed through their web portal and could see the prices are cheaper, but the brands are not heard/seen before. How good are they?

Pretty good. And their return policy is also pretty good. Returned shoes after 6 months as sole was damaged. Refunded full amount and gave option to return cash or adjust in new purchase.

Thanks, the prices did look suspicious. Will get them from Hyundai itself.

Re: The Online Shopping Thread

Bought a set of cold chisels and punches from Amazon

It looked cheap and nasty, so did a discrete test with a small file and strongly doubt that these items are hardened at all, let alone properly hardened and tempered. I didn't expect anything great at the price, but I didn't expect scrap metal. I don't think these things will even standing being knocked about in the toolbox!

Booked return immediately.

Hope you are the one who has rated 1 star with the above content.

Grand sale in Flipkart and Amazon - not much to the hype apart from Mobiles and TVs. But used this opportunity to get nod from Home minister and bought the below,
1. Samsung 32GB Evo Plus SD Card
2. Cable ties
2. Mi 20000 mAh power bank
3. Some sling bag for the nod

Appreciate Amazon for the fastest delivery (Prime membership is an added advantage) during these sales. And big for the apps UI wherein I can look for all deals irrespective of the categories.

Quite opposite to the above is my experience with Flipkart.

Yes! We can never say that Amazon don't post damning reviews . I wonder if not available will change to Only 1 in stock some time next week. Don't buy it!

I do appreciate the poor guy who was out at 10pm last night delivering this stuff.

Re: The Online Shopping Thread

Ordered a HU from Flipkart on 24th Sep and item got dispatched on 25th with estimated delivery on 27th date. There is no tracking record after 26th and the delivery date is getting delayed day by day with an automated mail from Flipkart

And I appreciate that Amazon have collected the item and processed the refund already. They might have done it the next day, but I selected the day after that so that our maid could be ready should they come when I was sleeping.
