Correct Order:
Rogue One and Solo is optional. (H means available on Hotstar)

That is the order of the movie releases. Story wise, the correct order is:
1. Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999)
2. Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002)
3. Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005)
3.5 Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
3.6 Rogue One (2016)
4. Episode IV: A New Hope (1977)
5. Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
6. Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi (1983)
7. Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2016)
8. Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (2017)

I know, that's the release order, but it keeps the twist of Skywalker's father intact.
You start with the originals, then go to the prequels, and end with the sequels.

I have seen enough memes to know who is the father without even watching the movies!

I have absolutely no clue about the universe of Star Wars, have never read any books and neither seen any of the Star Wars movies, except one probably. However, when the Mandalorian released on Hot Star, what intrigued me was the cast behind the scenes, especially Jon Favreau, so I started watching season 1 with my 7 year old son earlier this year and became a big fan of the series! My son then read some books on Star Wars and now he is the one guiding me on all the unknown facts of this Star Wars universe! So watched season 2 as well and the last episode was just fantastic!

Anyway, now Im actually considering going back and watching some of the movies, but im a little wary about some of them being a bit boring or slow and not necessarily in the same league as the Mandalorian.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Watched 'Person of Interest' on Amazon Prime. A very good show overall. A crime drama with science fiction thrown in, in the form of a surveillance machine which predicts things before they happen. Entire cast has done a good job. Stretched over 5 seasons with 100+ episodes of around 45mins each, it can get a bit repetitive & taxing a few times. But it does enough to keep you gripped in between in some of the seasons.

Watched "The Undoing" on Disney Hotstar, recently. Its concludes in just 2 seasons.

Superb acting by Nicole Kidman, Hugh Grant and Donald Sutherland. The suspense is gripping. Avoid watching with kids/parents as it has some nude scenes.

Watch The Expanse on Prime Video if you haven't. Best sci-fi show for me which keeps improving every season.

I finished off season 1 and now on season 2 - quite an ensemble cast and great performances.
Watch it on Hotstar premium. Superb show!

Completed the five seasons of Line of Duty on Netflix and absolutely loved them. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions
Any other British mystery drama suggestions? Already seen Luther and it was top notch as well

Watched 'McMafia' on Amazon Prime. A British Crime Drama about a businessman whose family had mafia ties when they were in Russia. The show gets off to a slow start, infact the overall pace of the show is a bit slow except maybe last 3 episodes. There is no hardcore action, everything is subtle with some nice locations thrown in. Overall an above average show.

Season 1 was good with a proper closure. Season 2 (new storyline with the same characters) was terrible so left it midway. Watch 1, avoid 2.

Watched a really nice docuseries on Netflix. "Room 2806: The Accusation" - true story of the fall of Dominique Strauss-Kahn, a man many thought would become the French president. Hotel maid accuses him of rape & sexual molestation, he says the act was consensual. But it ended his career instantly.

Just wish the pace was faster. Will give it 3.5 / 5 stars.
