It is so good that I recommend that you watch the stray dogs licking the plates in the morning when I drop my daughter at the bus stop

Aaaargh... thanks, Ajit. Never going to AoC in front of your house again in my life. Good thing they have another one atop Eva Mall.

Akshay if you like fish a trip to Mangalore Lunch Home on Chikpet is an absolute must. There is no ambience or decor to speak of but the food is simply magnificent! A trip is imminent and I shall let you know when that happens if you'd like to come along.

Where in Chikpet is MLH? Requires a lot of planning to go to that area - even an auto ride is traumatic to that place!

A 10 minute walk from the MLCP. In a bye lane on the other side of BVK Iyengar road. Only remember it with visual cues and would not be able to direct you there though...sorry.

@nikhil, that's the one he is talking about. Close to your place.

Guys can you suggest a place for a team dinner for 28 ppl . Budget - 450 -500 per head. (preferably with booze)
Was looking at barbeque nation but they are charging 750 per head for unlimited beer n food. Has anyone has taken such a deal ? If yes at what price? Need pointers so i can negotiate.

Barbeque Nation is a good place for a team dinner at approx 500 bucks. BUt giving unlimited booze could cause a problem so it is better to PAY FOR YOUR OWN BOOZE setup which usually works.

Which area are you looking at?

Had been to Samarkand on Infantry Road to celebrated my mom's birthday.

Awesome food. The mutton starter was exceptional. The gravies were good. The starter though was simply mindblowing.

The sad part about it was that the tables are really low and you simply cannot get comfortable.

Had been to New Krishna Bhavan, Malleshwaram this Sunday late morning.
The food there is simply good. Vegetarians who like U.K./D.K. style food will love the place. Had heard of it many times. But this was the first time I had been there. It definitely is a part of Bangalore's history.
The Hindu : Metro Plus Bangalore / Eating Out : An eatery with history
I had some kotte kadabu, green masala idly and baked plain shavige(don't remember the exact name). My favourite Mangalore style dosa, the neer dosa had run out of stock :-( . Stepped inside just for coffee after some shopping. Ended up over-eating. :-)

Anyone had ragi meals there? Want to try some ragi meals there.

Nowadays, I'm trying to explore more of Karnataka food and South Indian food instead of Chinese and Italians :-) .

Indijoe's at RMZ Infinity, Old Madras Road, Bangalore: Check out the outdoor section now. Some people will be pleased. Hint: The indoor section can seat more than 30.
