I live in the vicinity too & there was heavy rains through the night.
Like tahrian said maybe treadmark is a damn good sleeper.

Rained for sure but not intense at all, all places were clear by 7 in the morning.

True that, not even one stroke.

I usually wake up (not for small disturbances) but sure enough for a thunder.
In fact, I went to bed late around 1 AM so no activity until then.

Cheers

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Thunderstorms two nights in a row now, BSK 3rd Stage/Mysore Road area. There was a burst of driving rain about an hour long, intensity of the likes I haven't seen in a while.

Clear blue skies with a nip in the air as I type this. Perfect weather to take a day off, if only.

Monsoon seems to have arrived in Chennai!

A nearby private weather station is showing 68mm.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

It started pouring here in South Bangalore (Jayanagar) at around 5 pm today, and it only seems to have let up slightly now!!

It quite literally POURED and probably cooled an otherwise hot & humid Bangalore.

Weather has changed suddenly now...near Manyata Tech Park. Cooled considerably and a reasonable cloud cover.

Rain possibility?

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

LOL! Didn't know such a thread also existed.

It's raining in many parts of Bangalore (Indiranagar, Yelahanka, BTM, Bannerghatta Road, ORR and few other areas). Not very heavy though. Some relief from the scorching heat.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Finally some respite for us after a spell of rain in Bangalore, not too heavy but very much needed after an early onset of summer this year

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

Does a brief shower count in this thread?
A little but welcome respite is happening the western suburbs of Bombay, hope it continues and cools down the city for a day or two.

Re: The "It's raining in my city" Thread!

It rained in Pune yesterday and it is raining right now.

Had the pleasure of getting drenched on both days.

Much needed relief from the searing heat.
