Hey Deepankar, hope you are doing great!

Yeah, this place has been deserted since modanna left

I'm a bit tied up for the next couple of weekends. So not really sure if I would be able to join the haleem crawl

Abhiram .. not many ppl responded, so not sure 3 or 4 of us will be good to go.
I am game though, am on my own so can hop on tomorrow (Sat).

Usually we would identify one or two meeting locations, and gather to move around in group.
With larger group the advantage is you could go about tasting at multiple outlets and don't have to finish everything in one go.
With lesser group we could probably take look in at Mehendipatnam (Zaika, ShahGhouse, ...) and back at Masab Tank (Cafe 555 and/or Sarvi).

Zaiqa-e-Ramzan is better done separately from any Haleem Crawl. It has multiple stalls selling dishes not commonly available. Small or large group, plan this as a separate meet. I was there yesterday. Average tasting, expensive but not common dishes. They sell Haleem also, a tad pricy.

Green Park sells a decent haleem. This year, their stall at the entrance gate of the hotel is also selling biryani and double ka meetha.

Hyline, Bahar and Mohini is one circuit. Mohini has an amazing haleem this year, I will be eating it again tonight.

Shah Ghouse (Toli Chowki), Pista House (Toli Chowki), 4 Seasons (Toli Chowki), Sarvi (Mehdipatnam), 555 (Masab Tank) is another circuit. Can be extended to include Sarvi (Banjara Hills) and Point Pleasant (Banjara Hills).

I am out from all Haleem Crawl Meets as preoccupied tonight and next weekend after which the season ends anyways.

Enjoy!!!

Thanks Bajaj Sa'b .. for summarizing this year's highlights.
I have seen/tried others some time or other, but never been to Mohini.
Is it the one around Basheerbagh flyover??

Oops, sorry people, got busy from Friday noon till Monday early morning ... Did not check emails / messages. Please let me know if we could plan something this Friday (July 10th).

As such I'm not a Haleem Eater, but catching up with you all, spending time is something I am eagerly looking forward to.

Cheers !

Need inputs from Hyderabad guys. I'll be in Hyderabad next week for an official engagement. Will have 2 very short evenings to spare and in that time, want to go for the usual Hyderabadi delicacies. I'll be staying at Gachibowli. Can someone point me to good places nearby where I can have haleem, biriyani, kababs within that limited time. Don't want to miss the food, this being the festive season there.

Evening 1 : Zaika-e-Ramzan under PVNR Expressway Pillar 47 in Mehdipatnam. Expect to spend 500-1,000 per head.
Evening 2 : Dinner at Jewel of Nizam restaurant in Hotel Golkonda at Masab Tank. Expect to splurge 1/2 k per head.

Thanks for the inputs, will try these. Any other places nearby for food street type experience where one can walk around and sample multiple delicacies?

Near Gachibowli, there is a new restaurant with a dhaba kind of ambience which has come up called as T-Grill. Good food and decent price. You may want to check it out.

Also near to Gachibowli just before the beggining of the flyover on your left, you have Shah Ghouse haleem joint where you also get khadu kheer and Gulab Jamun. This is while travelling towards Gachibowli.

Apart from these near toli chowki there is a place where you have all different cuisines restaurants. This doesn't exactly count a street food but you have a wide variety and type to choose from. Try 4 Seasons there. We get very good biryani, khabsa Laham and boneless grilled chicken there

Thanks. Now, I've to see how much time I can manage for this. And, there's a slight change in plan as well. Now, I need to travel to Delhi, hence will get 2 evenings in Delhi as well before going to Hyd. Old Delhi beckons and I'm loving it. Even the thought of Delhi and Hyderabad together in ramjaan time is making me hungry.
