Sure, why not? Sean Connery...I've watched all of his JB movies; the one & only one that I didn't like was his last one in 1983, Never say Never again where he gets admitted to hospital (which forms the first few hours [although minutes] of the movie)

All 3 of them are good thriller in their own ways; Shutter Island was really suspenseful, The Prestige was fast moving thrilling, Sixth Sense was slow moving suspense thriller. Didn't mention them because these are usual along with Mystic River, Taking of Pelham 123, The Mechanic (although mostly action), Silence of the Lambs, Argo, Munich, Departed, Limitless, Taken, Lucy, Orphan, Final Destination sequels etc. Some more less heard better thrillers are...

Gaslight
KPAX
Cape Fear
Butterfly Effect - This is a good SciFi thriller
Constant Gardner - Although I watched can't remember how good it is compared to the other list here
The Firm - I learnt something about America's billing system from this movie
The Machinist
Wait Until Dark - Not many liked it, but I just loved this movie
Diabolique - Have specifically mentioned the link because there's a newer one (like Manchurian Candidate), that's not as good as this one. Fantastic thriller + plot; like the hunter is getting hunted hehe

FYI, it's also available in hindi dub. Makes it easier to watch rather than reading english subtitles with Korean audio. I liked Parasite but not as much people have been praising it all around. Will give it 3.5/5

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

Watched T-34 on Amazon Prime. 4.5/5!

I absolutely love war movies and this one had no dull moment. Good plot of a soviet tank commander outwitting the Germans!

If war movies are your thing, you will love this and should not miss it.

Watched Jumanji The Next Level yesterday. It had it's moments but somehow something just didn't click.

The previous one was way better

Saw a great movie on how the system can fail / deceive you. Richard Jewell = 5 / 5 stars . True story of a hugely law abiding citizen & wannabe cop who got falsely accused in a bombing case.

A request to everyone posting movies here, please do write about where you saw it, a theater, on TV (Channel please), Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hotstar etc. That helps a lot. Thanks.

Watched it today after reading your post. Truly a 5/5 movie. Great act by the lead.
A perfect case where IMDb/ Rotten tomatoes can be misleading.

Blackkklansman, a movie I had such high expectations of and was thoroughly disappointed. It has its moments, but nothing that justifies its hype and the numerous awards that it did receive. So, this is about the supposed infiltration of the Ku Klux Clan, by two cops, a Afro American and a Jew, both races vehemently opposed by the hard core white Americans at that time.

The movie opens up with a promise that it would be funny, quirky and all that. But instead takes a very documentary route at times.

The Bombshell:

Well acted and they made you feel the pain that the women would have gone through.

4/5!

It's actually based in a true story, so maybe because of that.
