re: Which watch do you own?

Haven’t bought any expensive watches for a long time, (sadly i lost a watch that was expensive, old and exotic)

The first one is a a Watch by Jeep have had it for 7 years now, stopped wearing it. I have another Jeep watch with a round face.

Further a Fastrack bought it for just 600 rs have had it for 2 years now use it for extremly rough usage, this is sort of my desi version of a Gshock. The day this breaks it will make way for a simple and sober some sort of Gshock.

Third is a Titan Octane, for 8500 rs got this as a replacement for the Titan Orion in the last pic , Titan Orion, beautiful watch, it was 7500 rs the only watch from titan that i have had had a problem of color fading.

Apart from this i have had some more cheap watches to what my friends at Tbhp have. A watch from Ben Sherman, Lacoste, Tommy, D&G

I love the Jeep Watch. Has an old-worldly charm about it. Like a battered, gruff, slightly blunt but highly dependable, time-tested, lovable Jeep.

Karan- I feel bad to ask but yes it would be great if you could measure. Thanks for taking the trouble Do measure the diameter and thickness too

I would have gone and checked it out if I was in India. I hope to purchase it once I am down in December. But perhaps will be asking someone to buy it before I get there so need to be sure.

I currently wear a 41mm Hublot and it fits me perfectly. Although Hublots are bigger than their actual sizes. I am hoping this one doesnt look much larger than my current watch. Most of my other watches are around 40mm too.

re: Which watch do you own?

My beautiful birthday gift -

I am a newbie to such watches. Can anyone please help me with the following -

1. Which Titan range this beauty belongs to?
2. What are the smaller needles for? And how to adjust them?

Thanks in advance. Sorry for the mobile phone pic -

re: Which watch do you own?

Hello,

Last week I had posted a query on Tag Heuer watches. Now continuing with Tag I would want to know if its a good idea to buy a 2nd hand Tag watch, if the papers including the bill/guarantee + box are intact? Ofcourse I will be or I will have someone check them personnaly.

So If I buy a 2nd hand Tag that is 16 months old, what should be the depreciation on it?

Say if the new one costs around 80k after all the discounts given by the showroom, what should be the price of a 16 month old piece?

The seller says it is as good as new, without any scratches on the dial or on the bracelet??

Thanks and regards

Hi Ashwin & Others,

How to identify whether an Edifice is genuine or not? I am told that even the fakes have similar weight and is difficult to judge by its heaviness.

Any inputs?

Thanks

Sorry mate, but no luck from my end.
Just buy from a reputed shop I guess. Can't really think of anything else.

Yes, its that one.
I really loved it as a kid when I saw it on one of my teacher's and some other people.
It is really popular with the Army guys. Infact, my watch was gifted to me by my bro, who is in the Army.

Cheers,

re: Which watch do you own?

Hey, bought a Casio Edifice 539D from Watchkart.com (authentic - as they claim, with a 2 yr india warranty from Casio India). It is almost at ~30% discount : Default 15% discount + an additional 15% using NOV15 voucher.

So all you watch freaks out here, make use of the additional 15% off coupon on watchkart.com

Update: Just noticed that they have a rewards program for inviting friends who buy. If you are buying there, let me get the honor of inviting you (I would get 100rs for your purchase :P ). If you can, try to PM me to invite you with your email-id. Thx
