I am striving towards crossing 10000 kms during the World Ride between 20-22 June! So riding left right and center to leave enough to cross that coveted mark during that time! Some sense of achievement you know!

BTW - Whats on your ODO? How has your bike been performing? Any new mods on it?

Cheers,
Shubz

Re: I just got Har-Ley'd! My Iron 883

A loud call for Mr. Dushyant a.k.a dustom99! (and any one else who can help as well)

I am looking for handle bar risers. Not ape bars or mini apes. I guess I need the handle bars a little higher than what it is now.

Was looking at some of these @ Revzilla

Suggestions welcome!

Haha! Trust you to respond this fast!

My only question was about which one would be direct/easy fit. Not for which one should I go for!

Since its all HD 883 specific, it would al be direct fit (remember in US of A if they say its for HD 883 then it better be a direct fit otherwise be raedy to pay may be millions as compensation - you know the Winnebago Compensation story - Stella Awards)

All it depends is how high or straigt you want to sit

Best Regards & Ride Safe

I believe risers are common for entire sportster family. All883/1200 sportster.

Re: I just got Har-Ley'd! My Iron 883

Update on risers.

Seems like its easy to fit risers on bikes like superlow and dyna but not so easy on Iron. The reason being, the speedo console is right on the bracket holding the handlebar. With risers, not sure if the cables can come up by 1.5" (at least) to connect to the console.

Research is still on. the next best thing if risers don't work - Nightster handle bar!

Hi.

The Speedo cable has some slack tucked in and will surely reach.

I would be more concerned about brake lines, throttle cables, etc.

The Nightster bar is an excellent choice for the Iron, and have tried one in our group who had switched. The wider bars gives you a lot more stability.
I believe it was direct replacement without any issues.

Cheers

Ride Safe.

Shubz do let us know what you finalise on. Even I'm quite keen on getting the handle bar changed but interested in going towards the ape direction.

Re: I just got Har-Ley'd! My Iron 883

The Nighster bars are a good choice. Being wider it's more comfortable, and does feel more stable. I have them on my Iron 883. You do need to change the brake cable though.
