I guess that is true, been there to mustafa a couple of times and did find loads of cleaning stuff. Got some from there and they are showing off their colours.

Also, Walmart in US is one-stop-shop for all your automotive needs and is better off than anywhere else i have been to.

Cheers.

Thanks Thad. I am off to Singapore next week for a vacation. Will try to pickup something from Mustafa. My last business trip to US was a washout as I did not get even a minute to shop around.

If you're going to Singapore, do check out Meguiars there -

http://www.meguiars.com/dealerlocator/

Just enter 'Singapore' under 'International dealers' and you'll get their addresses!(you might even find Meguiars DA polisher with pads, there!

^I tried using Collinite paste wax, the wax in the tin had hardened quite a bit. Is that normal? Was still able to use it but was wondering

Yea! its normal!

Just make sure that you're rotating the applicator inside the container so that the friction melts the wax and your applicator pics it up easily!

Check this video out for a few tips and a 'how to'

re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

Hey guys for my first post here I thought Id post in one of my favourite threads here on TeamBHP. Thanks a lot to you guys for all the detailing advice.

If you guys are going to Singapore and looking for detailing products, take a look at Carrefour (supermarket) as well. They have a couple of aisles worth of detailing products including Meguiars. Carrefour is located in Plaza Singapura mall at the end of Orchard RD after the Presidents bungalow. The car products can be found in the basement section, left hand set of aisles.

re: A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide

Hi All,

I am in the lookout for buying a car polishing machine. I checked out a few in the ebay.in but as always not sure of the quality and future availability and support. Can any of you suggest any brand that I can look for?

Also guidance with the pads will be very helpful. Till date I only used hand to wax and polish my cars but off late I am not getting as much time and energy to di them. I am hoping the machine will save me time and energy. Experts, please comment on my guess as I am novice to machine polishing.

Also apologies for not going thru the entire thread, as I remember there were some discussion on the machines but I couldn't locate that now.

Thanks in advance.

And the most important question is how much does this cost?

If you're looking at DA polishers then you'd want Bosch GEX 270AE/ GEX125AE Professional, or GEX 150AC

Check if the bosch dealer has got one of these, compare the specs.

Generally, GEX270AE is a good machine for polishing etc. - Bosch GEX 270AE random orbit buffer - Car Care Forums: Meguiar's Online
