It did not matter to me since I was claiming insurance.
I checked with HASS they said some 15K plus labour, and they said two days.
I checked with WE, 13K all inclusive, ASI glass
I checked one more place, they said 12K all inclusive, but not ASI.

WE being near was my obvious choice, and all places my share was 2.8K

Changed for 13K including fitting at Wind shield experts. Paid 2.8K as my part and rest insurance.
Thanks. What is the price charged by HASS?

I have Zero Dep cover. How much would I need to pay in that case?

Thanks. I did see youtube. Is it doable by amateurs? Seems to have quite a few small steps. Any chance of messing up? Since, if I do mess up, will insurance then cover the replacement ?

The car I did this on had only 3rd party insurance. Hence we were left with no choice!

If you have insurance then claim it.

Yes it is very easy to do ! You will need to do this in an open area with plenty of sun light.
Also make sure that no water, tree sap, bird poo , etc. falls on it during the curing.

If you do mess up then, Cracks and chips on the windshield can "happen anywhere"
They cant blame you if another "accident" happens.

re: Honda Civic : Maintenance, Service Costs and Must dos

Spoke to Windshield Experts today. As expected they said if there is no crack then it should be repairable. Expense between 1200-1500. Time required around 1-1.5hours.

If replacement is required then it will cost around 12.5K. Given that I have zero dep cover, my liabiity would be 2.1-2.2K.

HASS said windshield replacement would cost around 16K.

Will go to Windshield Experts first. Trouble is they are located quite a distance from my place.

re: Honda Civic : Maintenance, Service Costs and Must dos

Got a thorough checkup and service done today.
Findings:
1. Tie rod ends have apparently developed a bit of play, while they can still run, he recommended a change.
Each tie rod change is around Rs. 2200 + labour.

2. Lower arm bushes are beginning to develop some cracks. These too, the SA said will run for now.
Each lower arm change costs around 5500 + labour

I asked them not to change right now.

What are the aftermarket options for these 2 parts? Prices?

I have had my front suspension overhaul done. The prices are similar for the tie rods however i do not understand why the lower arms need to be changed at such low mileage.Only the bushes if needed can be changed outside and there is no need to change the entire lower arms.

The bush are difficult to remove and would need a hydraulic press to be dislodged from the lower arms and can be done at a good independent garage and should not cost max 3K.

Here is a another Bhpian's list of cost related to suspension overhaul.

There's absolutely no need to change lower arms in a civic unless they are damaged

New bushing kit is

Oem Honda is around -3-3.5k
Honda original is -4.5k

Thanks ! I will check with a nearby garage whether they can do it.

Regarding the Tie rods. Do both inner and outer bits need to be changed? Or is it ok to change the pieces that have gone bad?

Which brings me to the important point of the symptoms of tie rods, lower arm bushes going bad. I feel no issue while driving. What tell tale signs should I be looking out for?

Will do. They gave an estimate of 12.5K for replacement. And ~1200 for repair. I will take a shot at repairing first.
They are located some distance from my place. I'll need to plan for a clear half day to get it done, hence might get delayed a bit.
