Thats a 190b the bumpers were almost the like the fintypes as both were in production at the same time.

Fair enough, though the bumpers do look a lil too big specially at the fender curves.
Good restoration, wish i had the money! Good at upto 7/8 lacs I guess depending on the mechanical condition.

Ahh so Mr Singh's car is finally done. He was infact helping us too recently with our 190D engine errors.

Another thing i noticed is that the bumpers are missing the Bosch fog lamps he was telling me about. They are factory fitment aren't they?

Do you mean 190D Ponton or 190D Fin type? Also its 190b with a small "b" there was also an "a" .Only 180's had a "c" .

190 b's were produced from 6/59-8/61

Fin production was well under progress from 61 hence many overlaps including turn signals. common in both the 190 and 190D series for both. Bumpers as I have said before were similar but not not the same, as the earlier ponton bumpers as on my car did not meet with crash tests in the 60's. ( I have seen the film on this at the classic centre in stuttgart)

They were very expensive options and not standard, you can see the most coveted of the fog lamps (Bosch) on my car in my Garage (on team BHP). They came factory fitted on my car.

I have had a chance to look into some books on the 180b and it appears those bumpers are OE however the car looks like its lost the front bumper overriders. They are present on the rear bumper so its logical they existed at one time on the front bumper too.

Wasif, certain models did come without the overriders or guards as we know them. Although this car seems to have the holes present to mount them, so your observation seems right. The car is a neat example but i do remember seeing it in some magazine some time ago, not really sure but the number is ringing a faint bell somewhere.

This beauty is for sale. Its a 1951-52 Ford Consul with a Bombay Number and was in neglect.

Belongs to a dear friend who bought it a year ago thinking he would restore it but never go to doing it. Willing to give it away to a deserving and caring person for a small consideration. Only those interested truly PM or call me ASAP.

This is what it can look like when done.

A regular string of Chor Bazaar and Dealer types are buzzing around. A couple of them even followed the car home when it was being towed from his godown to his house. Till now he has not even met those guys. Will go in a few days so be quick.

Why not me?? I knew this would come up.

1) Im not interested in this car.
2) If i take it, he wont take money from me.
3) I dont have the parking space nor the inclination nor the funds to restore another one till i finish my other projects
4) I will be thrown out of mu house if i buy another car so soon.
