Rather than guessing, it would be more appropriate to contact the seller directly and ask him what he is expecting. Regarding valuations of classics, we have a dedicated thread for discussing that. Let us not stray off topic, and in the process discourage a future pontential seller here in the process. Thanks.

Wasif i don't think Mr.Singh is a member of T-bhp it was put up by S.B Jatti so we would have to PM him for details.

Unless of course it's another LHD (or otherwise) W115 3-pointer!

I managed to speak to Mr. N. Singh the owner of the Pontoon.... He's asking for 11Lakh for the car and it is negotiable.

Its outside of my budget to own a classic currently. But I do get the feeling that at 11 it is slightly overpriced.

I'm considering making an offer betweek INR 600,000 & INR 700,000 (as the upper circuit). If he bites, well and good, else... I'll bide my time till I can find another one.

Good going, Let us know what the outcome is.
Personally i feel your offer is quite good.

A website to compare prices is carandclassic.co.uk

You will get a rough idea.

Cheers

Good Practice: Avoid details of deals of a prospective buy over online discussion boards.

I made the offer and have been laughed off... So now anyone who wishes to own the classic knows that your offer needs to be higher than INR 700,000.....

ajay99 - Didn't you also post a white merc (A w113 coupe i think) which had a KA19 registration? Can you get me the contact details of the owner? I'd be interested in buying the car and restoring it. I want to do it before i blow the money I've set aside away.
