re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza Compact SUV

Comparison of exterior YBA( Vitara Brezza) Vs New Vitara(Global)

Side profile seems similar with slanting C pillar, sharp aggressive front with same design theme with difference like the honeycomb airdam but the final character lines of the vehicle remain hidden.

But overall seems GW has got the front profile very close to the spied YBA.

re: The Maruti Vitara Brezza Compact SUV

We all think Maruti has imported 3800+ 1.6MJD for the S Cross and is carrying a lot of inventory of this engine.

I guess Maruti is planning a surprise, they have again imported 240 engines this month.

Looks like the YBA will come in the variant of 1.6 OR they are planning for the New Vitara soon ? Under Fiats's agreement are they jointly developing the 1.5 version of this engine?

Looks very impressive, especially those alloys.

Once the covers are off and the real vehicle is available, it will really look smashing.

Come on Suzuki, get the 1.6 devil in it.

A 1.0 litre petrol would do wonders for Maruti in India. Once again they'll have an edge in the market like they have with the SHVS. And also they'll become a direct competition to the Ecosport.
Expect Ford to start giving discounts after it's unveiling at the Auto Expo 2016.

With the car being tested with hilly areas and ghat sections, will Suzuki offer an ALL Grip version with the 1.6, and cruise control in it?

Why not? S-Cross already has it in the Suzuki Line up

Because they haven't offered it even on the expensive Ciaz.
It's offered on the S-Cross because it is expensive than both the Ciaz and the YBA.
In India Honda City is the only car which offers cruise control under 10lakhs.

Is it a hint that this car would become the next gen Gypsy in India, and Jimny in international markets?

If they do, then this will eat up a lot of Creta, Duster, Ecosport, S-cross and XUV 5OO sales considering the way Maruti prices its new cars.

They are planning to launch the new Jimmy at a later stage and is a completely new SUV. If YBA comes equipped with AWD and engine options of 1.3 and 1.6 DDIS, it will complete the definition of a true compact SUV and appeal a broad customer base.

Since the Alto parked next to it (in one of the pic) doesn't have any of these, we can safely assume it need not be in offer. I'll be more than happy to be proved wrong though.

Even I think it's not at least on the version photographed. This seems to be a lower spec model without alloys and fog lights.
