however, my requirement is a little bit different i am looking for gps primarily, along with camera and music though i am also seeking n95 but @ 22000 still its on a higher side for me, may be ill wait for another month or 2 and wait for rate fall

Ashish infact i want for GPS and yes Music is on cards no doubt .. I'm finding the 8GB option better though still out from my pocket but do let me know any other option (GPS only) ... else will wait for for a month or so

Can work but the risk involved aint worth it, so wouldnt recommend. Again if you are a geek who knows what he is upto then experiment, if you are sure you can revert back, if something goes wrong.

Even a simple software add on sometimes creates certain bugs and can become a pain, i have formatted my Touch atleast 3 times in the last 2 months with all the experiments that am upto

U can easily over clock htc touch to 240 MHz without any issues. I did that for over a month and it was extremely stable. However the HTC Touch that used to be P3450 has now an upgraded version P3452 with double the ram and rom and you would not need to do any upscaling. Its amazingly fast then previous version and comes for the same price...

I can say that because I have both P3450 (Elf/Touch) and P3452 (Elfin/Touch Enhanced)

Overclocking a WiMo phone would also require you to carry a spare battery around

@jaggu & hydra - thanks for the info.

@rejismine - I have version P 3450 .

Is it possible to convert this into one with 3452 specs . by changing the necessary parts ?

Any idea on costs involved & who can do it ?

You will have to change the ROM and RAM IC's on board. It is possible to change them but not easy to procure the IC's. It will obviously void your warranty. You can try asking at the HTC service centre.

Also, the 3450 has text input via stylus. You can upgrade to text input by touch by downloading the app from htc site.

@vid6639 - thanks for the info.

Will check with HTC sevice centre in Bangalore.

text input by touch instead of stylus - are you referring to the full screen key board apps ?

Overclocking is not an issue. Head over to XDA-Developers.com and you can search for an overclocking application - its a nifty little gui-based tool which allows you to overclock to various levels. You can also revert back quickly.

I've used overclocking on ALL my HTC pdas so far without any issues, except with the Tytn II which has a Qualcomm chip with a different sort of architecture.

Yup the app is available from HTC. It looks just like the text entry which teh iphone has.

Something like this:

I think Turbosim is the only option right now.

Is this a software solution or a hardware solution because as far as I know, OTB 1.1.2 can only be locked using the turbosim's and the stealth sim's.

I got Advanced Call Manager and SMS Spam Manager along with my E51. I remember installing it two days ago.

I had to format the memory card and after which I cant see the programs or its installation ( these initially came under a folder called Installations).

How can I get these back?
