What are the options to connect them? Can I use Ethernet Splitter or any extension from router to TV using Cat 5 cable.
Objective is, we want to use single router to connect to 2 TVs.
You can run one CAT5 cable from router to a 5 port switch near your first TV. From the Switch use a short length CAT 5 cable to your first TV. Now you still have 3 ports left in the switch. Use any one of these ports and run a cable from this switch to your second TV.

Absolutely: ISP is responsible for everything up to and including their modem.

Somehow, Airtel have changed something (or I got something wrong) and I don't seem to have access to my Airtel modem any longer.

As far as I can remember, I changed...

1. Turned off the wifi section.
2. Turned off DHCP. (different net, shouldn't matter, just makes me nervous having two DHCPers in the house)
3. Changed LAN address.

Yes, one should be ready to connect direct, in case of "it isn't our problem." And hey, they might even be right .

Re: On Wi-Fi & Routers

Airtel replaced their old Nokia router (dual antenna) with the new one, today. This is high capacity and can handle up to 1 GBPS they say. The other option was a Huawei one. The Nokia is sleek and looks good

Airtel has enabled remote management of Modem+Router. This is done so that tech support can reset WiFi password etc remotely.

This can break certain things in routers (Edge/Corner cases). E.g.: if Airtel pushed some config changes based on assumption and such assumptions are no longer valid due to config changes end user has done.

Protocol that enables ISP to Manage all routers on client's end :

You can physically reset the router to make it work again (maybe once Covid is over and you are okay with a visit by tech [if required])

I have always kept a printed copy of the basic ISP parameters. But, currently, I don't have, or I could press the reset button myself.

Frankly, I don't mind, unless such a reconfiguration as you describe should happen. I don't mind that they can do remote diagnosis. I don't mind what they do with their modem, because it isn't my router!

I don't think that getting into their modem gets them into my network. But, these days, I'm about as good at network security as I am at woodwork.

The camera's manual says this is very much possible. Please read through it and try for yourself.

Am using NordVPN (3Yr subscription got it for 8k), works perfectly fine for me with ACT 70Mbps speed. I constantly get ~30Mbps which is fairly good.

Why did they replace it? Did you ask them for the replacement? How much did it cost? Thanks in advance.

Re: On Wi-Fi & Routers

No, I just complained their router was no good. They gave me a new one. But you should have had the old router for 1 year at least (then it will be free)

Generally, there are two reasons why people use a VPN:

1. To bypass access control systems. This could be geofenced content (Netflix, Spotify prior to their Indian launch etc.), or firewalls (corporate Intranet/ERP systems) etc.

2. To keep out vested interests in tracking them. If they are doing illegitimate things this could be the local police. If they are whistleblowing it might be the government intelligence apparatus.

If you don't fit in either of these two then you probably don't need a VPN. Your security is more or less taken care of the common instructions like "lock icon in browser", "end-to-end encryption" etc.

A VPN has to have two ends. There is no such thing as a VPN to no specific other end.
