Take my recent Buds 2 Pro purchase for example. It normally retails for 12-14K without discount. It went for 6.5Kish during last BBD sale. However when I had requirement to get one, no sale was going on and best deal I got was 9K in Amazon / Flipkart. However on Corporate store it was available for 8.2K. |
Agreed. The corporate website gave me around 6k of discount on the S23 , 256 GB ; which translates to approx. 8 - 9% considering the current retail price on regular store.
Amazon and FK are giving good discounts too ; but currently it isn't matching the corporate site.
But as you rightly pointed out , it's the BBD type sales where you can cash in the maximum possible discounts. Having said that , there weren't any tempting discounts on the Samsung flagships this year. It was quite surprising though that the iPhones were offering much better discounts than the Samsung phones.
I think finally it all boils down to what product you are looking at. Accessories like speakers , headphones , etc. do have very tempting offers.

Well , I checked with the Samsung shop app CC , the 'welcome vouchers' are only credited if the 1st time login is via their 'shop app' and not the website.

Damn! tell me about it! Not sure if you're talking about customizing the set-up process , but for me it was just a 'simple' transfer process like I would do for an iPhone , wherein just a QR code scan is all that is required to literally mirror my old iPhone to new. It's THAT simple a process for the iPhones. But , it's a hell lot of frustration and work to set-up a Samsung phone (Idk about other androids now).
Who would believe it took me 2 days and nearly 4 - 5 hours cumulatively to set up the S23 ; ultimately skipping / loosing on some data in the end.

That said, I've been using it for a month now, and I've grown to absolutely love the compact size, the smoothness and the ease of one-handed operations. Even with a small battery, it holds charge pretty okayish. With 2 5G SIM cards, WiFi and WiFi calling on all the time, and with at least two hours of watching videos/using Firefox and one hour of VLC+Google Maps on Android Auto every single day, it goes from 85% to about 25% in 16 hours, even if I never recharge even once during the day. That's good enough for me, since I anyways plug in my phone in my car and during work.

Agree on the form factor , and this was the primary reason to pick this phone! My wifey is just loving this phone.
It's such a powerhouse and gives you ~ 80-85% of the capabilities of the bigger S23 Ultra for nearly 60% of the price. Some of my wifey's colleagues mistook it for the S24, LOL.
Well, the battery is one area I'm a little skeptical about. After using it for a day my wife isn't quite happy with the battery life of the S23 v/s the older A31.
I have restricted the charging to 85% in the settings and if the phone is charged in the morning at ~ 9 am , it drops to nearly 20% by say 5 pm or so.
She isn't a heavy user per se and primarily the phone is used for WA , Insta and calls during the day (at work).
The phone is not plugged in the car (no android-auto) or to the laptop.
Maybe it is too early to comment on the battery and it might need some time for the phone to learn the usage pattern as is it being highlighted under the 'battery settings'.
P. S.: And did I mention that the Lavender colour looks great , primarily in a transparent case.
