If you guys want the Gnex urgently, you can try buying on ebay for 21k

http://www.ebay.in/itm/Samsung-Galax...item4d056b4728

Now, let me tell you how ishopinternational works.

Step1: copy the link of the product on any of the US sites.

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-I9250-...s=galaxy+nexus

Step2: http://ishopinternational.com/request.asp
Fill out this form, in description type "phone", paste the item link in the "item URL" field, shipping weight - 2lbs, item type- phone

Step3: After submitting the form, call them on their number and ask them to send you a revised quote with discount.

Step4: you will receive a detailed cost breakup and an option to pay.

The following is the cost break up of my gnex bought from google play store through ishopinternational.
item price, local shipping, taxes: 349$+taxes and google shipping Rs. 21,696
International Shipping: Rs. 700
Duty, Taxes, & Fees: Rs. 1,776
DISCOUNT - Rs. 100
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOTAL Rs. 24,072

Any specific reason why you want to buy from this site? Ebay GEB has better pricing, faster delivery and money back assurance if anything is disputed. Moreover lately we've seen deals on Galaxy Nexus with third party warranty as well. Then why be experimental?

I am interested in the mid-range Android models of Huawei.
The phone is available for Rs. 17,200. If you have discount coupons (e.g. ICICI), then at least further 5-7% off is easily possible.

For Music Buffs on GNex. The stock speaker volume is very less. Download Poweramp Trial version and see the difference. You can customise the way it sounds on speaker. Headphone output also is good. You will have to toggle around to find your sweet spot and save the preset.

I have read about the stock volume being low on the Nex. Have you tried any of the mods listed at XDA? Like this one - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?t=1748803?

Thats an incorrect baseband problem.
Try to flash the correct one.
Explore your device 's Android development page for baseband on xda.

Hmm, I can try if you can bring it to me. Done that process before with Defy. I will be in Bangalore (HRBR area) after Oct 16th.

Hello

Two questions:

[] Have you found any appreciable savings on GEB? During my search for the best possible price for Defy+, all said and done no one could beat the Flipkart price.

[] The third part warranty thing - How credible is the warranty provider? Have any of your acquaintances/family had an occasion to depend on warranty from this warranty provider? If so, what has been their experience?

Thanks

As a follow up to my post about a Samsung service contractor dis-honouring the warranty on my SGY. After the intervention of the customer care people from the company , I was referred to a different service center. These folks were kind enough to do the needful and the required repairs were done under warranty. As they say "All is well that ends well".
