Do you have any reference which points that Karbonn and Micromax have a lot of radiation leak?

This is because, I understand ALL mobiles have this problem, not just Karbonn and Micromax. Any link for the same will be helpful.

I work for a telecom Giant, we have the radiation sensing equipment in our Lab, and I myself have done the tests . Generally the radiation leak for any smartphone is on the higher side, but the cheaper brands like Karbonn, Micromax, Lava etc etc is very high....

Sure will do...
Might send you a PM, as I don't want to start a war on the brands on the public forum :-p

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

One has to note that these phones from Micromax, Karbonn are dual SIM. So naturally the radiations would be more. It is like carrying 2 mobile phones.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Need urgent help!

I was flashing cm10 on my Tipo and all went well till the flashing part.
After I selected "reboot" from cwm, nothing happens! The pink led stays on but the screen is blank!
Tried a battery pull too but same thing happens.
Can't even enter recovery.

EDIT : Now solved! Removed the usb, plugged it back, again removed it and voila! JB works like a charm! Loving cm10 fxp202.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Hi All,

For those interested in the SAR values (Specific Absorption Rate) values for different phones, the data for the global brands is available on:
http://www.sardatabase.com/

You can compare different phones and the higher the SAR rating, the worse the phone is and more damage the Microwaves will cause to human tissues.

Smartphones typically have much higher SAR values than normal mobiles.

Regards,
Behemoth

So very true. Some of these models have SAR value even greater than 2W/kg, whereas the acceptable is less than 1W/kg. I found even established brands have higher SAR value sometimes, for eg. SGS2 just makes the grade at 0.9x W/kg.

I have been following that thread very earnestly ! Good to know its bug free. The only thing stopping me is the no flash support from JB onwards. Online streaming comes in handy quite often.

How's the camera and gallery performing ? Some users have been reporting crashes.

SGS2 has 0,338 W/kg, where did you get the figure 0.9x? Check this link http://www.sardatabase.com/samsung/
Infact Apple phones have higher SAR, i.e 0.9x for 4S and Iphone 5.
