I don't have Wi-Fi at home & downloading apps from my service provider Vodafone( have not activated 3g) is taking awfully long. I have a Reliance Netconnect usb dongle which i use to surf the net on my laptop.
After connecting my S III to the laptop is there any way i can surf on the phone using that net connection?? to download apps,etc?
Also any way to download apps from playstore onto my laptop ? And then transfer into the phone?

You can download the apk files for whichever app you want from sources other than play store on your laptop. Just do a quick search on Google or torrentz.
Then transfer the apk file to your phone and install via an app called apk installer.

Vodafone 2g is awfully slow in loading the play store. I activated the 3g 1gb plan which is pretty cheap.

Use a windows program called mHotspot. Essentially, your laptop will function as router for your Internet connection. You can connect your s3 to the wifi network and browse play store.

BTW, You should really get 3G. It is almost a sin to have a s3 and use it on 2G only!!

Well, the "ultrapixels" is supposed to help with low light and it does deliver as promised.

Also the nokia fanatics at allaboutSymbian did a shootout with Pureview 808, Lumia 920 and N95 (that had about same pixel size as HTC One). Their verdict: 808 is far superior but the One does better than Lumia 920 in almost all situations!

If you are on Windows 7 or higher version you can do Internet sharing via your wifi on the laptop. Create an adhoc network on the laptop and connect your phone to it via wifi. The. You should be able to download apps easily.

For the non removable battery, I think we have to get used to it because more and more phones are going to be like that going forward. With these high end phones battery should easily long for 2-3 yrs without any issues. And if you're stuck in a bootloop or freeze, there is always a hard reset using the power button. So, there is a work around!

Removable batteries are very useful for people who are on the road all the time and are heavy users. They typically keep one extra battery to swap in when one dies during the day.

Just providing a strong use case for removable batteries. Only solution for such people is to carry a charger with them and find a charging point wherever they go.

I disagree on this. Nowadays we get usb power storage things cheap and easy that holds power for more time than an additional battery and comes cheaper. Nokia, Samsung and Sony are some of the manufacturers of this product. Moreover the additional batteries are wasted once you change your smartphone but the power storage would keep on serving you.

Anyone here aware of a good deal on Galaxy Grand, I am looking forward to buy one, preferably blue one. The best i am getting is for 19.9k on tradus.

If any on you are aware of a better deal, then please let me know

Why disagree? I used to do this with the batteries on my x10,for more than 2 years.
It was a godsend. I even had a charger which could charge just the battery. In fact I got 500 bucks extra when I sold my phone, just cos of the extra battery.

That's the best bet you get online. I got it for 19340 from tradus (seller - supernova). Ordered on 28th Feb. Service was good, delivered in 3 days.

My HTC One V's earphones are acting up. Sometimes there is no sound from right ear piece. Are the earphones also covered in warranty along with the phone?

No they come with 6 months warranty only unless explicitly specified by manufacturer.
