Re: The Tata Zica Hatchback (aka Kite)

Also see a gear indicator, so hopefully it will also get the AMT box. I really hope it comes with an AMT on the Petrol, rather than just the diesel like it did on the Zest.

If I am not wrong, N is shown in my Zest RT XT which is MT. However, it will be great if there is petrol AMT!

The console is shared between petrol and diesel versions (same as Zest / Bolt) so no fixed redline. The needle does turn red at redline.

Again, since components are shared between petrol and diesel, instant fuel economy tops at 30. I still don't think it will stay there a lot for petrol variants.

On the Manza, Bolt and Zest, the needle backlighting changes to red from white when the engine is redlined:

Pretty sure the feature will rollover to the Zica's cluster as well. Looks identical.

Yes but. N shows neutral. Bolt manual does not show N in its speedo.

Just noticed this comment. That definitely looks like a rear window demister to me. The FM antenna mount is at the front of the car (though the antenna has been removed) and can be seen in the very first picture without camouflage.

Viju, yep I think I'm wrong. Thanks for clarifying this though. My apprehension got cleared on having a look at the pics a few posts previous to this one.

IMO, given that the new figo (which shares very high resemblance to zica ) was also launched with its main flagship colour as this orange colour (almost all print and tv ads were with this colour ) ,TML should have a used some other colour as Zica's flagship colour.
In this year if we recollect the new Jazz used a variant of Orange, Figo Aspire used a maroon colour , S cross used the urban blue , baleno used ray blue and the new figo used orange.

Re: The Tata Zica Hatchback (aka Kite)

The size and engine specifications pit it right against Grandi10. The features list seems to be a long one with lot of options on the Infotainment system. This car can hold on its own, in every aspect against well entrenched rivals.

Can the two new indigenous cars (Zica and XUV100(?)) steal the thunder from the Koreans and Japanese in the segment? Would be an interesting six months ahead.
