Going by current pricing trends, I'd expect the top spec to land above 26 lakhs, maybe even higher. And a slightly lower cost base trim which will cater to primarily the taxi markets.

The current pricing in India and the same model sold in Indonesia were about 30k cheaper in India. So going by that I doubt really they would jack up in India more than that in Indonesia.

So the prices that are put here would be final figures I guess.

Was looking forward to the new Innova but with this price rise, I see the car touching 20L in the next two years for the mid variant. There goes my dream :(

On a brighter spot, other car manufacturers can fill the void created by this by launching a good people mover (bigger than Ertiga) which costs less than Innova. Hope Tata and Maruti Suzuki are listening.

The Innova is a good car but definitely not worth the money. It is terrible VFM and even though they've added tons of new features, it's still pretty barebones. Heck, even my Grand i10 has pretty much all these features for less than 1/4 of the price. But, the fact is that Indians love 'em innovate. I showed my dad this thread and even though I put up all these point switch him, he still says that as soon as the Innova is out, he is going to buy one. When I asked him why? He gave me 2 reasons.
1. It's an Innova!
2. It's a Toyota!

Re: SCOOP! 2016 Toyota Innova spotted testing in Bangalore. More pics on page 7

Considering the feature increase and all the speculative pricing, the prices do look okay.
Sure, it has made the Innova not affordable for people like me, still one has to factor in the increase in the features. Just pray that a J or E variant will be launched in India. Or better still, continue selling the present Innova GX, but with the 2.5 Vnt engine from the Fortuner

Indian prices of the IMV platform have always been lower than Thailand/Maaysia and Indonesia, but to see the real price one has to look at the Arab Gulf markets with nil tax.

So, for now the price will seem sweet. Till Toyota launches the 'to be locally' assembled Fortuner in India, whose price will in turn be determined by Ford's Endeavour pricing, one can safely assume the pricing won't increase for an year.

At this size of the vehicle, I doubt we can drive easily in City traffic. The old one is very easy, lean and long enough.

If Toyota price like this, we will be getting two Innovas. VMT for our family and QAT for my aunt. I really hope they release it next year. The current rides in the family has aged well, City(08 Dec) and Linea (09 Feb).

Both the car has clocked over 1,10,000 kilometers. Both on stock clutch. Linea has got a new engine block at around 1,00,000 Kilometers. Can't blame Fiat, my Aunt's driver is a old chap and basically drove the car with low engine oil.

She spent around 1.5 lakhs for the negligence. My Uncle and I had a healthy debate on which car to buy. Lets see, he is also torn between Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.

Re: SCOOP! 2016 Toyota Innova spotted testing in Bangalore. More pics on page 7

Good to read speculative prices on the 2016 Innova. With push from Toyota for localization of components & engine for the 2016 Innova, typically the prices should stay the same or marginally increase. Unless, Toyota decides to 'anyways' increase prices (make more margin from Indian customers) and at the same time sell 'localized' Toyota Innova. That would be a sore deal for the Indian customer.

Until now the D-4D engine was 'imported' and has been performing well. Hope the speculative 'localized' engine will maintain similar QA/QC. Similarly, with the speculative localization of many other parts, hope Toyota is able to drive the strict QA/QC measures on the suppliers so that the new "Indian market" Innovas are of similar quality (or better??) than the current Innovas.

The other interesting fact to wait & watch is, how many features Toyota decides to 'strip' out of the cool looking Indonesia Innova model that is recently launched as compared to what Innova they bring to the Indian market.

I support your positive spirit , but going by current trends, I am willing to wager a friendly bet. Toyota in India is not known for its socialist spirit. Look at the India-assembled Camry, or even the Fortuner.

The car looks cool. It has become slightly bigger with a more powerful engine, more safety features and better interiors. It will sell like hot cakes, and I could see potential fortuner buyers opt for the innova in substantial numbers. Pricing will not be a major deterrent IMO. Current gen innova sells at 19lakh on road, the 2016 innova will sell even if it goes around 25 lakh on road.

Please ignore, in case a repeat. ET article on 2016 Toyota Innova launch, stating, "Top end costsRs. 20.40 lakh".

Seems reasonable in light of the XUV W8/W10; AT also soon coming and priced around the similar range. Let's hope that for the Indian Innova, Toyota prices the variants competitively in light of Mahindra's XUV 7/8 seater Automatic also being introduced in the coming months.

Article says that, Toyota has already started working on the facelift of the 2016 Innova, 3 to 4 years in advance.
