Interesting to find a new shade 'Atlas black' in that pricelist. Has Tata added it officially? I don't see that in their website.

If that's indeed a black option, then

I am one of the minority who'd only buy black, and lack of black, no automatic, and no AWD - in that order - made me overlook Harrier and pick a XUV5OO in December. If Tata have indeed had a change of heart about not having black in their portfolio, then my next car decision will be really interesting - albeit a few years down the lane!

If I am not wrong, Autocar India had put a spy shot of the Harrier diesel auto last year. I think its a Hyundai 6AT TC unit same as Creta/Tucson.

Gearshift looks cheap. Why not use the Hexa Xta shift? Looks like they managed to integrate drive modes to the autobox, hopefully can extend the same to the Hexa..

Agree to this. We chose XUV5OO W11 AWD over Harrier only because for a car of that size & road presence was missing AWD feature. Most of the users at that price range would have plans for some off roading or rough terrain trips.

And explanation that lack of interest or price sensitivity for AWD or 4x4 is not very convincing.

This looks like under development lever. It is open from top as well. Pretty sure this will not be the final version. Have faith

Not defending Tata here but I think they would launch it after a year or so to again spark the sales which would have slowed down once the novelty wears off.

I have been following this thread since Day-1. But must say that, this thread is slowly losing the interest! Not much of posts these days. Specially after the launch. Reason is simple. TATA has failed to meet customer expectations in terms of vehicle delivery. I am in Bangalore and I personally haven't seen a single Harrier on the road so far It's been close to 1 month since the vehicle is launched. What a sad situation for such a competent product. TATA has goofed up big time here

Got a call from Tata since I had not yet confirmed the variant. They say deliveries will start in full speed from April.

Against which thread are we 'benchmarking' interest? And if that was a measure the Dzire, Alto, Innova threads must be buzzing on this forum!

Deliveries aren't in full swing and I think it's too early to make such statements.
