Decent pricing which still undercuts the City, Yaris and Verna by a good margin.

The brand new Petrol debuts with an absolutely brilliant pricing. The Alpha for under 10 lakhs ex-factory is outstanding. The AT is priced well too.

BTW, Honda and Hyundai will have a serious run for their money.

Pro tip for Maruti: Just replace "Ciaz" with "S-Cross" in the slide under Petrol Smart Hybrid and flash it out a week before Diwali. The sales charts folks will do the rest.

2018 Maruti Ciaz Facelift Price Comparison

Diesel is cheaper now compared to earlier Pre Facelift Version.

Petrol Automatic is more expensive, I think Additional Safety Features is there reason here.

Petrol Manual sees a bump, due to new 1.5 Petrol Engine.

Petrol pricing looks very good. But I find the 1L premium for the Diesel is too much to ask for. The same case for the four speed slushbox as well, unless they are offering a better transmission. Petrol and diesel prices have narrowed down and so are the fuel efficiency figures. Plus the new petrol is making more power than the MJD along with the mild hybrid system. Who is now a taker for the diesel?

Reduction in prices after adding in features is amazing for the diesel. It is neither a refined engine nor the power output sufficient but delivers well with the VGT.

Few things that Maruti could have added
1. An option of 6 airbags for Alpha
2. Sunroof
3. 1.5 L diesel launch today itself
4. 6 speed Manual
5. Better Auto transmission

Can those new headlights be retrofitted on the old model?

I think the petrol variant is priced very well considering that its a new engine with better power and torque output. Not to forget the fact that the mileage figures are good for the petrol variant.

If we go by the reviews of the Ertiga Petrol variant by ACI, then it should be good to drive the new Ciaz petrol variant as well. Waiting for reviews on the new petrol engine from Maruti.

What AT is this? Is it the same 4 speed torque converter unit as earlier?

This price will almost kill the German Twins for the "kitna deti hai" Janta. Yaris is too almost out of competition. May be the auto box of Yaris would sell.
City will be dethrowned from the sales chart so will be Verna.
As told by members in the earlier post, if MS had launched the 1.5 LTR diesel engine then it would have been a Craker. May be they are saving it for the Diwali.

The facelift looks stunning in the Nexa blue shade! Pricing of the petrol variants is also perfect. The struggling Yaris will probably find it difficult to revive from here on. It cannot survive only on the back of the 6 airbags and the CVT across all variants.

re: The Maruti Ciaz Facelift. EDIT: Now launched at ₹ 8.19 lakhs

I am a little confused over the announcements. I get that they are going to sell the Ciaz with the existing 1.3 DDIS Engine until the 1.5 Diesel completes its testing cycle. But is the 1.3 DDIS Based Diesel Ciaz available and on sale right now Or have they delayed the Diesel sales to a later date?
