Re: The Hyundai Venue SUV (aka Carlino)

I really hate big front grills. Also power is underwhelming. Just put the Verna engine in.

Ugh that front grill! Interiors look real classy. Love the alloys.

Re: The Hyundai Venue SUV (aka Carlino)

So glad the DCT is going to come with 120hp as opposed to the previously rumoured 100hp.
This is going to be a quick little car!

Re: The Hyundai Venue SUV (aka Carlino)

Hyundai could make some good, extra dough here if they were to make " Front grill de-chroming " an optional accessory / service during purchase.

And if you're a Hyundai guy reading this( & getting ideas ), please make sure you don't charge too much for this or we'll just have to go the aftermarket route.

Re: The Hyundai Venue SUV (aka Carlino)

Hyundai Venue - for US Market.

The Hyundai Venue SUV (aka Carlino)-v1.png

Venue Naming:
The new entry SUV name references a ‘place’ people want to be seen in. The vehicle embodies the characteristics of ‘the place to be,’ while reaching the final desired destination, wherever that may be.

• Venue is Hyundai’s all-new entry SUV and marks the seventh in Hyundai’s lineup
• Modern styling and bold design provide unique character and ignite a fresh alternative in the entry SUV category
• Hyundai’s most affordable SUV delivers agility, safety, utility and advanced technologies

Quote:
The all-new Venue might be small in size, but it’s big on practicality and personality
Quote:
Its bold and unique character sets it apart from other SUVs on the market, offering a unique, entry-level vehicle for those consumers seeking savvy design with an abundance of standard safety, technology and connectivity features
Quote:
Fuel economy is an important consideration for customers who purchase an entry-level vehicle. Venue won’t disappoint thanks to Hyundai’s Smartstream Gamma 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. The Dual Port Fuel Injection (DPFI) engine is paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) automatic. Based on internal estimates, Venue is estimated to deliver up to 33 miles per gallon (City/Highway combined).

Quote:
A total of eight exterior colors are available, including Ceramic White, Black Noir, Steller Silver, Galactic Gray, Scarlet Red, Intense Blue, Green Apple and Denim. Denim can be coupled with denim cloth and leatherette interior with a white contrasting roof. Venue offers a choice of gray or black cloth interiors. An all-new two-tone roof, power sunroof and privacy glass contribute further to the head-turning style options.

Re: The Hyundai Venue SUV (aka Carlino)

The rear seats do not seem to be the most spacious but overall the lil SUV seems to very decked out.
1. Well known brand with an assured post sales service - Check
2. Engines and gearbox option to suit most patrons - Big Check
3. Decent exterior shape - Check
4. Decent and well kitted interiors - Check and Check
5. Good specs in terms of features - Check

I can only see Hyundai running all the way to the bank with this baby. The Mahindra XUV300 will take a big hit from this one.

Re: The Hyundai Venue SUV (aka Carlino)

Is there any information available regarding the differences (if any) between the global and India-specific versions of the Venue?

Re: The Hyundai Venue SUV (aka Carlino)

I'm not a fan of the Venue's looks (looks overly chopped to stay under 4M), especially the nose. The model to watch would be the high tech 1.0 Turbo GDI with the DCT. Interior space may be in the Grand i10 range (rather than i20) Connectivity features would be filtering to other models from now on. Hope the DCT is reliable. Hyundai is likely to go all out and load it with features.

The Venue and XUV300 exterior looks very similar. Longer bonnet and shorter rear. The Vitarra Brezza looks more proportionate

Re: The Hyundai Venue SUV (aka Carlino)

Good Video with the details. Looks promising.
Autocar folks are also filming at the same time as these folks
Rear looks cramped though, at best this can be a CUV, doesn't look huge. Hatchback on steroids
