If you live in a city and don't do over 60kmph for a good long drive at least once per week, you may not need a diesel. For the current price difference between petrol and diesel cars, you should have at least 2000km of running. If you are always in bumper to bumper traffic for 22 working days of a month, for qualifying for the need of a diesel, you should be doing 25km one way which is just too much and not likely for b2b traffic conditions. If still you are doing that much or more, it's more likely that you live in the outskirts of the city which means you will get such long stretches, if not 60+ kmph in a single run of 20kms, you may be doing it combined in up and down.
Get a petrol, anyways owning diesel car has been becoming less and less rewarding. The car's price + fuel cost + maintenance cost + concern of getting banned at 10+ years of age like how Delhi did it.

Seems like quite a bit of fuel waste

In industry, any Air Dryer system has one dryer in line and one in regeneration.

If I were a manufactuter, I'll go one step further and introduce an auto re-gen system for DPFs.

When a car today already comes loaded with so many features and one pays through one's nose for these, having this system will save the owner from heart attacks to see warning lights pop up every now and then.

Congratulations on your purchase. White with Black roof looks awesome. And the Gun metal finish alloys look a lot better than previous edition.

I am eyeing the same variant but in Dark Edition. Have to convince family for black colour.

Re: The BS6 Tata Harrier with 6-speed AT. EDIT: Launched @ 13.69 lakhs

Ladies and Gentlemen - Let me proudly introduce a new member! Please put your hands together for ....Velocita!

After months and months of waiting, finally received delivery of the Tata Harrier XZA+ DT. This is one vehicle I have been waiting for ever since they unveiled the concept years ago. I was among the first waiting in queue when the Harrier was launched last year and came away disappointed with what was on display. However, as they say, trust your heart and everything will fall in place. And it did. Tata answered almost all of my MUST haves - including the color red, panoramic sunroof and the automatic in the BS6.

It is finally amazing to see the vehicle parked downstairs! Till I receive the registration number and the travel restrictions are eased, it is going to be a very impatient wait to stretch her legs!

A final THANK YOU note to ram87pune and the fantastic team at Sridha Motors. Thanks you Omkar for being patient and making the big purchase stress free.

Thank you Tata for making this beautiful vehicle. Now might be a good time to stop deleting features (the ORVM puddle projector and the rear seat charger are gone)

And without further ado - here are a few photos!

Let me be one of the first to congratulate you on this great acquisition. Must say the car has everything going for it except for the marketing efforts by Tata and lackadaisical attitude of a few sales person which are the only things stopping it from becoming a success.

Enjoy the ride and do post more pictures.

Mod Note - Please quote ONLY the relevant bits of a post. Quoting a full, long post inconveniences our mobile readers. Thanks!

Many congratulations and wishing you happy and safe motoring! Car looks fabulous! Wish it came with roof rails which would have been icing on cake

Which tyres did you get with the car? The thread pattern looks a bit different from the Apollos which I saw on couple of TD cars.

Oh lovely! Congratulations ihrishi. Finally your SUV is home. You were very patient in your evaluation and specification requirements. I remember you had almost picked up the Tucson.

Nice colour & the 2020 AT Harrier sure is a worthy car in all aspects. Wish you & your family unlimited safe & happy miles with Velocita. You MUST write an ownership thread. Especially since travel restrictions are in place - surely you can find time to compile one.

Probably I'm the only one here but I like a car without roofrails. I turn my head and give second look to a base model Creta (old) or Scorpio without roofrails. These rails look phony and don't seem to serve any purpose. First time I saw them on Chevy Beat, they looked cool back then. But now they're beaten to death, IMO.

ihrishi, congratulations on purchase of a stunning SUV. No matter what anyone says, this is the best looking SUV south of Fortuner/Endeavour. Heck, actually better proportioned than even these two behemoths. And, it certainly beats Compass and Koreans by a long mile. Post some pics of view out of sunroof, from rear seat.

Congratulations. She is a beaut. I almost bought this combo but last minute chickened out and stuck with a more conventional white and black DT.

Good to see new harriers on the road. My SA told me that they sold 22 harriers in June of which 20 were AT.

Thanks for the info, at the first glance it looked like a warning for something like: "Hulk in tow"
Say hi to BS6 'goodies' & graphics. I don't mind the latter though, great excuse for the "500/- Chai" like "100$ burger" popular with recreational flyers in the US

Great photos, adds a character to the already amazing looking car. I had driven this same combination before the lockdown, and must tell you the view from back seat with sunroof is as good as the view while sitting on driver seat.

I really hope sales of this car picks up, we deserver to see more of these on the road.

Congratulations again, and wish you safe drives.

Re: The BS6 Tata Harrier with 6-speed AT. EDIT: Launched @ 13.69 lakhs

Guys, I'm looking for scuff plates for the Harrier. I wanted the "Land Rover Pedigree" ones that Tata has showcased, but it seems that scuff plates are not OE accessories for the Harrier yet. online pickings are also few, and the ones that are there are the LED types which i abhor. Any pointers on where once can source some good ones?
