Even my diesel Tiago which is smaller and lighter gives only 15-16 kmpl. Only if engine noise was less in City this would have been a fabulous engine.

Recently it even surpassed my expectation. On a daily routine from my home to office in Delhi in good traffic it gave me this.
FE of 26.8 Kmpl for a 7-year-old is great indeed despite the car has run 1.3L Kms on the odo!

We were thinking to sell this car and get a Petrol AT like Polo GT or Rapid (thanks to increasing traffic and since the car is mostly driven by mom when I move out of the country in few months, I felt that the AT is the need of an hour due to increasing traffic and the car might see less usage as well in future), but due to the present situation and ever-increasing fuel prices, I think we should not sell this car and sell it off when an AT car is needed!

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

My pre-owned 2014 Terrano 85ps gave me a shocking 20 kmpl last week with 3 adults and fully filled boot+middle rows with luggage (I vacated my apartment).

Why it is shocking because i kept an average speed around 120 kmph with some +/- 30 kmph deviation as the highways were completely empty due to complete lockdown(Chennai to Kochi Highway).

I heard a lot about the K9K's refinement and workhorse nature, It is so true in fact.

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Below are the FE numbers for the two cars I have. Both are based on long term usage including a lot of highway driving, city driving and some mix too. I always drive with AC on and windows closed, so all readings are with 100% AC.

2010 Maruti SX4 1.6 ZXi.
Total km driven: ~1,25,000km

Typical city FE: about 7 to 8km/l
Typical highway FE: varies from 12km/l to 15km/l based on my mood and driving style
Actual average FE over entire 1,25,000km distance: 10.4km/l

2017 BMW 320d (F30 LCI)
Total km driven by me: ~40,000km

Typical city FE: 10 to 11km/l
Topical highway FE: varies from 13km/l to 16km/l based on my mood and driving style
Actual average FE over entire 40,000km driving: 13.5km/l

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

2014 Honda City iDTEC

Fuel filled: 21.33L
Kms driven: 441 Kms

The car was mostly driven in the city and did 200-250 Kms of highway driving as well along with a short drive on the ORR!

So, the mileage I achieved is 20.7 Kmpl (T2T method), while the MID showed around 21.5-22 Kmpl, which is not bad!

And, the car was driven sedately all the time by not going beyond 60 Kmph in the City and at the same time, cruised at higher speeds as well on ORR!

Remember, the car is running on 195/60R15 tyres and yet, I get these amazing figures!

Re: What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?

Fuel efficiency of my Toyota Rav4 hybrid all wheel drive over 1 year of ownership. Measured tank full method.

Usage:
City:40%
Highway (110kmph):60%
What is your Actual Fuel Efficiency?-screenshot_20210704105400.jpg

I would say average is 19kmpl as there is around -ve 1% error in distance travelled shown on mid and GPS method.

It would be a lot better if you could specify the fuel type and transmission type.
