End of the day hrashiv's money has been locked for 6 long years now and the mental ordeal he has been through is something we can not really feel. The day of right justice pronounced in his case will be the day of celebrations for him, in my humble opinion.

I don't think there's any cause for celebrations because this is a classic case of lose-lose. I was pointing out the loss to the other side.

Maybe Skoda's schadenfreude has been turned on itself.

As your case is 6 years old now you can approach the higher court and file an application for quicker verdict. The high court will pass a direction that will direct the lower court to resolve this matter within a given time frame.
Also the dates that are given will be within two weeks time frame. Currently you are given month long dates.
You can consult your legal team or some other higher court lawyer in this regard.

I am surprised at the law-abiding nature of Indians seeing the pathetic state of judiciary (and the law enforcement in general).

What does the "file missing" mean?
I recall all the courts in India now use digitized means to record the proceedings.
That's what I have seen the judge dictating to the scribe sitting on the PC.

Or do you mean the file paper records/evidences is missing!

Yes, the Judge does dictate to the steno who records the proceedings on the Order Sheet, which is in turn annexed to the Court File and moved to the pending branch. There are always two sets of the same file, one is the Hon'ble Judge's set and the other is the Court's.
