Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

One question: Vehicle owner has cleared the loan few weeks back and have bank NOC with him. He has not removed bank hypothecation from RC. Can a buyer submit old RC and bank NOC to remove hypothecation and register it in his name? Thanks!

The vehicle hypothecation can only be removed by the original owner. Anyway if the NOC is there, handing that to the agent along with vehicle transfer paperwork means both can be done by the agent. It just means extra expense if you are the one bearing the transfer cost.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hey folks,
What would be the right price for 2018 model Audi q3 35 Tdi premium with about 15k on the odo and another year or so of warranty left? The listing is by the owner and looking for pricing input to get a sense of other offers that the dealers would offer for this. Would love to get some inputs on thus. Thanks

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

I was just browsing the Toyota camry listings on OLX. Intend to purchase a used D2 segment car in about two years.

Came across a 2016 Camry Petrol, completed 72K Kms. Quoted price 13.4L.
Another one, a 2016 Camry Hybrid, done just 20K Kms, Quoted price- 17.5L?

What should be the ideal price for these if I intend to get them now? Also any unforeseen ASS hassles (W.R.T. to parts unavailability/high costs), since both these models are now discontinued, with the only petrol version not even on sale today.

Guys, need help for an estimate of a pre worshipped Toyota.

Model: Etios
Variant: VXD Platinum (Limited Edition)
Fuel: Diesel
Colour: Phantom Brown
KMs: 40,000 KMs
City: Mumbai

The car is in excellent shape and been serviced in Toyota ASS only. No modifications done. It has touch screen by Toyota, alloy wheels, steering controls and dual tone interiors.

You can go for it provided:
The car is in good condition.
No accident history, no structural damages.
No rusting or little rusting.
No water leaks into the cabin.
Healthy engine; no white smoke at starting.
The clutch shall be good preferably.

45K is a good deal. If the car is good, buy it and change the parts needed, like suspension, drive shafts, clutch, silencer etc. If you get a new carburettor and distributor, buy and fit those. Also change all the fluids, spark plug and ignition cable. All this won't cost much.

Zen is one car, which is worth buying always.

But the True value guys while evaluating the Etios had noticed the WagonR and quoted ₹1.70lakhs for it, saying the pandemic had increased the demand for sub 2 lakhs small Marutis.
Update

The car was sold on October end for ₹1.70 lakhs to a private party.

For the hybrid - https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/india...ml#post4908394 (The "USED" Car Price Check Thread) & https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/india...ml#post4900512 (The "USED" Car Price Check Thread)

Honestly though, I’d pick the regular petrol Camry if buying used. From their asking price, knock off ~1L for budgeting new tyres & battery.

For the petrol, if a trusted mechanic/ASC checks the car thoroughly and gives you the green light, I’d close at 12L. Don’t forget, the Camry with the 2.5L petrol engine is EXTREMELY reliable. They can easily clock 700,000-800,000kms without any serious problems. So all you’ll be doing is routine oil & fluid changes & the odd wear & tear part replacements.

The hybrid is a mixed bag, as you can read in the linked posts above. Be prepared for some $$$ repairs if & when the hybrid battery starts going out. Before you even start negotiations for it, have it checked by a specialist mechanic/ASC with a fine tooth comb. You don’t want to be stuck with an abused hybrid car. I’d close at 15L if everything was in fantastic condition. Don’t forget, tyres & the aux battery would still need replacing soon.

Etios is of 2017 (September). Immaculate condition and have replaced speakers with JBL Components. I paid around Rs. 11.75 on road. Should expect around 8.5 Lakhs since it is a Toyota Diesel and is maintained in pristine condition.

Only because it’s discontinued, I’d say high 7 or low 8. But since it’s a Toyota, you really never know. Those things are built to run forever!

Pretty sure you'll have no trouble whatsoever, when it comes to selling that vehicle. Especially once travel & tourism picks up again.
