Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hi guys need some advice on a couple of used cars that I am evaluating (will be seeing them in person tomorrow) :

1. Civic V AT 2011, second owner, 41k kms, white colour : Asking price is 3.6 lakhs. Owner says he has all service records and has been serviced at HASS only
2. Civic V MT 2010, second owner, 68k kms, dark grey(?) : Asking for 3.75. As per the owner, this car was bought by him back in January to modify but he also got a vRS and hence decided not to mod it. The pictures of the car look amazing, but this has no service record (from the first owner itself). This car also has new tyres, new clutch, new suspension, new brake pads and new disc.

Price on both of them are negotiable. Manual or automatic doesn't bother me since my commute is not that long or through dense traffic. Although I would be more inclined towards the manual. Any pointers about the price, or things that I need to check for, in the civic?

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Hey Guys. I am in search for a used car for daily run abouts. I came across a 2015 Bolt XMS Petrol , clocked 7500Kms in Kerala. The asking price is 3L. How much will be a reasonable price to offer?

2011 AT seems much better choice - less run, all records as well as one year newer. Quoted price is also lower. You can get everything else done on this car when needed - tyres/brakes/suspension etc.

What will be the right price for an Oct 2010 model - Honda City iVTEC S Petrol, 70,000 km on ODO, Habenero Red colour. No insurance claims made ever. Location is Delhi.

Please let me know if any further info is required.

I drove the MT and that thing is tight. Like not a single rattle or anything. Drives like a dream. Have bought the price down to 3.3.

Also would like to clarify, the price of the Automatic as quoted by me in the original post was incorrect. The asking price for that is 3.87. Will be driving that tomorrow and will be evaluating post that.

But heart sticks for the manual. Couple of bits I noticed. The gear lever leather wrapping is torn, and handbrake silver accent is loose. Apart from that, the interior of the car is completely in top notch ( the second owner has got the interior done up in leather.) Hence the model is actually the S variant.

I have also come across a V MT variant with sunroof, 2011, but run only 14k kms. Asking price is 4.95 lakh, which I find a bit excessive considering it still is an 8 year old car

Any inputs on the price for the various models?

This is XTA variant, the top end automatic. Later found that it's 2nd owner. The car is in very good condition though, with a Cardekho score of 9.5.

My heart says go for it. Mind is afraid of the sheer size, and thinks a Triber top end is a better value. I am thinking of going for the Hexa if I can bag it for 10 lakh. Please suggest.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

I'm looking to sell my 12 year old Civic which has clocked 2.15 lakh kms. Car is in perfect running condition. Cardekho etc are quoting around 1.2 lakhs, which I feel is pretty low. I'm in the process of listing it on the classifieds. What should be the right price I should expect?

2 owners in as many years raises a red flag for me. These ratings by Cardekho might be just a gimmick and hence be sure about the genuineness of the car before putting your money into it.

Around 2 lakhs should be a good price considering that it is the lower SMT variant.

Yes, I will definitely get it checked before I finalize. I saw that the cardekho ratings are not always very good. For many cars, they have mentioned issues like scratches, engine noise, vibrations.

If my mechanic doesn't find any major issue, is it worth paying 11 Lakh?

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

We are looking for a second car. Budget is around 2L.
The usage will be 10-15 kms daily, 5 days a week and occasional run to my college ( 80 kms to and back), we've shortlisted Ritz petrol. But what will be a fair market price for it!?

Are there any other choices in the market for this budget? Brio? But all the ads I've see so far are well above the budget! Will a Polo Petrol fit in?
I'm keen on picking up the Ritz because it feels the perfect fit for my usage but am confused with the market price.

Help BHPians.

I have been having an itch to buy a Polo gt tsi ever since i test drove it few years back. My Punto is still doing great and clocked 1.16 L KM's so far and still runs great!

I have come across used polo gt tsi 2014 make for 5.6 L. What would be the best price? It has clocked 52000 kms.

Re: The "USED" Car Price Check Thread

Is it worth buying a 2 owner Honda City V-AT 2010 model that has run 1.1 lakhs km. The last owner has kept the car since 2013 and has maintained it quite well and is known to me. Asking price 2.9 lakhs
