I'll try it out. I don't know if it will work to subside the issue. I change the wiper every time before the monsoon sets in. The hella curvo I had bought earlier hardly managed a clean sweep for a week before I threw it off and installed a bosh eco. Being 22"-driver-side and 16" passenger side, I had also tried different sizes too. The top right corner position of the driver side, during the end of up sweep is the point of shuddering and squeaking most often noticed.

This video might be of help:

and to cure the judders, do this:

I have seen it done differently - you pop up the wipers, get the wiper to be 90 degree with the arm and then gently twist the arm by holding both ends of the wiper and rotating. Easier to do.

And, NEVER run the wipers without water on the windshield. (unlike what they do in the video)

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

I went ahead and installed the Bosch CA Wipers on my 2014 Honda City. The size used was 26 inch and 13 inch. The recommended 14 inch was not available in the ClearAdvantage series in multiple shops where I enquired. Paid Rs.680/- inclusive for both in Bangalore at Nitin Automobiles (Off JC Road).

More details with pictures logged on my ownership thread: URL

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Hi
Can anyone let me know the wiper blade size of the New Toyota fortuner. What size on what side and which ones to buy. The stock ones really suck after an year, lots of lines and corners remain dirty. Thanks in advance !

Re: The 'Wiper Blade' Thread

Hi,

Recently during a trip to Pondicherry my Lodgy's rear wiper was stolen. Can anyone help me identify right replacement part, hopefully from the Bosch's line up. I presume that they are the same ones used on Duster. If so, this link has some useful info. for Duster. They seem to be 13" ones.

Thanks,
BD

Don't forget to remove that white protective cover from the rubber blade.

Initial impressions are very good. I would say it performs better than 3M wiper blades in my S-Cross. Clean sweep, no noise and frame less blades do improve the looks. Hope it performs the same way on longer run .

Nice but arn't they more expensive than Clear Advantage frameless series by Bosch. Are they worth the price ? I was looking for them in offline stores and apparently most places stock the frame type Eco ones. Not getting trusted sellers in Amazon to buy them also. Lets see what happens. My size is 22 / 16 front and 11 rear. Its hard to find 11 size frameless ones from good brand. 12 also works for my car.

I don't think it's expensive. I got it for Rs. 548. I found it very much VFM compared to 3M frameless wiper blades (3 times cheaper and it's performing better too). I believe Bosch clear advantage costs more than My TVS frameless blades. I did not find the required size for my car too.

Is it just me or are there other members out there who feel that these aftermarket frameless wipers don't work as well as the oem stuff?

I too was thinking on this. Came across the following video while looking for the answer:

From the video, it seems that the frameless wipers are in no way be inferior. We just need to make sure that there is adequate spring force + arm flex and correct twist. This is explained by shridu, few posts before. This holds good for both conventional and frameless wipers.

Can anyone help me a replacement rear wiper for the first generation Figo. The OEM one, I have heard is very expensive.

You can find the part details here and clicking a particular part link also navigates to boodmo, so you can check the price. To compare prices, try looking for the same part on other sites that sell spares.

*I have no idea about buying Ford spares over the counter.

I think you are right, at least as far as my experience goes. Infact, the Bosch normal wipers work better than most frameless [non OE]. The regular wipers used by M&M in Scorpio is of very good quality as well, does a clean, silent sweep, others don't do as good a job.

Though buying from ASC, they tend to be expensive.
