Wipers use BOSCH cheaper than the MGP 275/- (bosch)
Engine Belt tensioner bearing is common ( Zen, Esteem, Baleno)
Bumpers are expensive 6k plus
Wheel nuts are same as 800 for VXI

I also replaced my Baleno O2 sensor with an Alto sensor today. Had to argue a bit with the Maruti workshop but in the end logic prevailed. Cost ~ INR 2400 I guess but will confimr as my wife paid the bill.

had been running the car with the malfunctioning sensor for a month now - no noticeable difference apart from the orange light on the dashboard.

@buffetfan: Lol, mate Ill go to the market buy one and courier speed post it to you. I tell you the actual cost and you transfer the money. Haha. Anyway will be able to do it on a weekend only.
@Mods there is no commercial interest involved, its simply about helping another bhpian who is unable to source a particular part in his town.

re: Cheaper options: Spare parts for the Baleno sedan

I recently changed air filter with a SGP one costing 700+. Would have put MGP, but the guy told me that this one fits only baleno, so can't use any other MGP alternative!

Can someone confirm this?

re: Cheaper options: Spare parts for the Baleno sedan

Does anyone know the cost of the clutch assembly for the Baleno?

I checked with Bimal Auto, Bangalore and they quoted Rs. 9000 including labor. I remember reading a much lower value elsewhere on this forum. Could it be that I confused the clutch plates/pressure plates with the assembly? What else is part of the clutch assembly?

From what I can recall it was close to 6k or so and not more than that. Why don't you check with other dealers in town ?

Not entirely sure about this, but I'm told that the WagonR 'starter motor' (4.5Kish) can be used instead of the Baleno OE (15K+).

Btw, any alternatives to the 11K SGP power window motors? Can the window motor be repaired?
