Re: Auto Lighting thread : Post all queries about automobile lighting here

Finally finalized following for updating the lighting system to white light.
Headlights>> Philips EssentialVision 100/90W H4
Fog Lamps>> Philips CrystalVision HB4 9006 55W

So what are the thoughts about bhpians about it? Any idea about the cost for HB4 9006 bulbs?
Another question is the parking light bulb in Vento is W5W type?

Thanks all. Got xtreme vision on HL. Much brighter and throw is longer. Could not find fogs four it since reliance was unsure of bulb type. May not be required though since HL does the job.

For the prices you should check ebay.com, I will be ordering 9005 X-treme Vision from there soon.

Why do you want to go for relay for EssentialVision? I think X-treme vision would serve you well without having to add a relay.

CrystalVision start from 4300K I think. Wouldn't 3100K be better for fogs?

Re: Auto Lighting thread : Post all queries about automobile lighting here

Guys: A close friend of mine has a Verna [old one not fluidic]. Apparently he would like to increase the light spread of the HL while driving on the Highways - Any pointers?

I thought Phillips essential vision 90/100 should do the job - Any body using it, pictures?

thanx

The extreme visions are very good. I had an opportunity to talk to some Aftermarket fitters and they are of the opinion that Extreme visions last longer than Night breakers. I had the Night breakers in my Laura, one of them developed a bulge and I decided to go and fit the extreme vision. I could not readily source the extreme vision so I went for the Night breaker plus which were available. I am currently very satisfied with the night breaker plus hope that it does not develop any defects..

Thanks for the response NKR.

I would get Xtreme Vision fitted this evening from Reliance Auto Zone. They are charging 1200/pair.

REQUEST TO MODERATOR: Please let me know if this is an inappropriate thread for my message. Would truly appreciate if you can let me know where to post it as well.
Gratefully, NagaSid

Hi!

I have a pair of H11 Crystal Vision bulbs that I bought for the fogs and found that it is incompatible. The cover is opened (thats how we found it is incompatible!), but not used at all.

Anyone ready to buy it from me may please call me at "nine nine 800 800 nine five".

Best regards
NagaSid

Re: Auto Lighting thread : Post all queries about automobile lighting here

Guys what are the options to upgrade the Swift FOG lamps.

I was interested in getting them onto projectors which adds appeal and also increases the visibility factor by good amount. Any suggestions, would the skoda ones fit in there onto swift fog assembly.

Hi

If its not too much trouble, could you find out what all bulb sizes are available for X-Treme Vision?
I need 9005 and 9006.

I am heading to BLR soon, so I might pick them up.

@ALL does anyone know the fog lamp bulb size for Civic '11?

Essential vision or Rallye are your best bets. Rallye is the brightest 100/90 bulb in the market, simply because it is clear and the filament burns brighter, but has a shorter life. I would recommend Rallye. I have been using it since the past 3 years (1 bulb's lower beam fused in the period and I replaced it). Prior to that, I used philips bluevision 100/90 and they were excellent. They used the same bright filament of the rallye series but gave out white light since the bulbs were coloured blue. The output was marginally lower than rallye due to the bulb's blue tints.

AFAIK it is H11.
Buy a yellowish bulb than the white one as your drive mostly on highways & also in fog conditions(Delhi)
