Hella 3000 v 3003

I got a pair of each of these a few weeks ago (the 3003 were brand new and the 3000 were off ebay and just needed a good clean). I am posting some pictures showing differences between the new Hella 3003 and the 3000 model. The ones with the grey bezel are the 3003's. No plastic stone protectors are available for the 3003 model, so if you get these you will need to get these made or risk daily stone damage. The 3000 model shown are the 3000FF (I think).

Dealers in Hyderabad / Secunderabad

Hi,

I need to change the bulbs in my GTX, (H1 & H7). Any idea where I can get Philips Extreme Power or Osram Nightbreakers in Hyderabad or Secunderabad.

I am a little apprehensive about the Nightbreakers as they have a blue tint. I would prefer plain (uncoated) bulbs giving out the white-yellow light.

I might be tempted to go in for xenons if I can get them in the <4200K light spectrum. Does anyone have an idea of a reliable source for xenons in this town.

Cheers and thanks in advance,

Believe it came close to 1200 or 1300. Installation was done at Blueraven [ Satya ] . It does include all its own parts. Happy about it. Holders I believe are not changed, Relay and wiring, yes they were changed. According to blueraven, since I dont use HI beam continuously for more than say 4 hrs, No need to change holders. Talk to him and he might guide you much better

^^ Lambuhere1:

With all respect to BlueRaven's advice on the H1-4hrs combo, I am not sure if that is the best practice.

Did not figure what car you drive from your profile (which still says that you are searching for one), but is it that the car will never be driven at night in a long distance trip?

My advice would have been to play safe and just get the holder also changed. Will save you more trouble and you know it is not a constraint when the situation demands.

Kums,

The 3000 and 3003's are close to 9 inch in diameter.

A DIY concept is surfacing in my mind since many days.

Can we use these Hella's to be fit into Alto's bumper.. The kind of fitting done for the evo's.. Has anyone tried that already? Are there any bolt-on kits available?

Need to get fog lamps fitted on my Aveo U-VA in the stock location. Can someone suggest a good lamp that would fit there?
