Yep it's an UNI, but an Australian UNI FILTER, not the American one.

Here are the photos of the filter. The contents are: 1) Air Filter, 2) Air filter wrap, 3) Breather pod filter and 5) The Filter-Fix oil.

Except for the brand name, UNI & UNIFILTER i don't think there's any major difference between these two makes. They are different companies, Australian is cheaper and the foam actually feels sturdier than the UNI i had before.

The flange ID is too big, 63mm. I'll have to adapt something or get another one imported if i'm to fit it on the carb directly. I got this one to use with the tube. Lemme see how it is.

Airfilter kit (Filter, Wrap & Oil) = AUD 41.36
Breather pod = AUD 6.59
Shipping = AUD 18.18

Customs didn't charge any duty

Btw, Joel are u sure than without TPS connected the ignition timing would be advanced? If that's the case then how is the bike able to pull high RPMs easily, with an advanced timing revving up would feel tight isn't it? I don't have a timing gun to get it checked, nor do i have access to one.

Where is that breather pod going to be used on ? the filter seems like a bargain for that price.

I have installed the filters last night. I retained the pipe from the carb, but removed the airbox completely. 63mm ID is a trifle large (i messed up with the measurements), 60mm would've been correct. I did not take any photos last night as my hands were messed with sticky filter oil. I'll take and post photos today, if possible.

muneem, the breather pod goes into the the crankcase ventilation pipe. With stock setup it goes into the airbox.

I installed the filter not to the carb directly but on to the black pipe. I removed the airbox but left the pipe in place. I used duct tape to bring the OD of the pipe to match the ID of the filter. It's a nice snug fir now. Duct tape is pretty strong & thick so it worked well.

Here are the filter installation photos. As you can see i have retained the stock curved pipe, the filter is mounted on the pipe. You can also see the breather pod installation. I have tied em with a nylon string as i ran out of cable ties.

From the initial riding impression the filter seems to have really improved the performance, midrange to top end is strong. I have upjetted to 140 mains and 40 pilot.

2 questions :-

1. You mentioned this nearly the exact replica of the KnN R1100, can you tell me whats the product code for this Uni filter?
2. Is the Breather Pod necessary?How does it help? Any disadvantages?
