Really tempted...
I haven't upgraded my tyres. Even if it doesn't foul with the body, the tyre size you suggest will increase the ground clearance by about 11 mm. This is likely to mess with the vehicles dynamics, no? The body roll is likely to increase. It might also nullify your warranty. Please check with TaMo.

It seems in order to rationalize the margins and costs TATA has gone ahead and started removing subtle features from Nexon. Even with the constant love that Nexon has been garnering, it seems TATA is still not confident, and prefers sticking to the price of the car by removing things, rather than increasing it slightly and maintain the premium touch. Sad state of affairs.
Tata owners must be really peculiar who provide 'feedback' to the company to delete features
Seriously, the gall of using customers' name for their dirty move!

Tata cannot be a premium player until they come out of this 'Indica mindset' as a move like this would leave the new customers with a sour mouth. They seem to have got the inspiration from a struggling player like Ford.

The OD should increase by 11 mm, and GC by 5.5 mm. From 209 unladen to 214.5. It is not much, and I'm not going to be corner carving with a crossover, but the capability increase will be immense. That's why I'm looking at this, and just checking to find out of anyone else has done it too....

I think the GC will increase by about 11 mm. Please check the link below.

This is diverting the topic, but if the overall diameter increases by 11 mm the GC rises only by 11/2=5.5 mm. After all the axle is mounted at the center and not the top of the wheel.

Edit - You are correct! It's a11 mm increase in GC and 22 mm increase in overall diameter. I forgot the multiplier of two for the two sidewalls.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Cygnus (XZ+ diesel) went in for her 2nd Free Service at ~6,400 kms on the ODO on 22nd September.

Apart from the usual, got the alignment/balancing done since she had covered close to 4,500 kms in the past 2 months, some of those miles running over some really bad stretches.

Updated the HU software to version 12.5, the latest one including Apple CarPlay & Google Maps.

Total bill came to Rs. 0/-, thanks to Gold AMC.

One point of note - after the update, the Mute button does not work as a Pause button any more. I preferred the former arrangement. Feels annoying that my favorite songs continue to play while I am doing something else or talking to someone.

Rest is smooth so far. Cygnus has run another 300-odd kms since then. No complaints regarding performance, FE or rattles till now.

Bad move. Looks like the product management folks look at what's on the lower rung rather than aspire for the next higher rung of the ladder.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Have a question on the Ivory white accents on the Nexon. Have seen it in white and darker shade of silver (in Orange and white body colors). The Nexon brochure mentions that the roof can either be white or dark silver. Is it possible to get a Grey or Red Nexon with dark grey accents (like the one in orange body color)?

And yes, i've seen the 3m wraps on TuxDiesel's Nexon (Tata Nexon : Official Review) earlier in the thread. Wanted to check if there is a factory option.

Is it just me or the white roof looking tacky?!. Does not gel with the overall design/color.

Is the white nexon some kind of special edition?

I see eyelids on the headlamp and some CSK kind sticker on the front door.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Whats the fascination with this white colour that Tata has developed? Most ( almost all till now) people I have asked have expressed a dislike for this white element. It makes the whole rear look tacky, complicated and absolutely takes away from an otherwise decent looking car. And to make it worse, now they have added more of it.

This clearly shows how 'screaming for attention' is different from 'grabing attention'. They should have replaced the white element with the darker shade of silver or a glossy black one.

This is such a shame, the power window illumination is such a nifty little feature and it's one of the few cars along with the Ecosport that get it. Forget other cars in its segment, even cars such as Verna, City, et al do not get this.
I wonder how much would Tata be able to save from deleting this feature.
To top it all they're removing it from the entire model lineup.

Really disappointed.
