Also, in the above video, why wouldn't they try opening with the other key instead of breaking the glass? It's a new car so there's almost no chance of the key being lost.
The other had its battery dead or was not working due to some other reason.

Re: Tata Harrier : Official Review

Saw a brand new black Harrier and the car does look good especially with those DRL's. Its been quite sometime since I saw an all black car and kudos to Tata for bringing this color combination.

Checked the registration number on Vahan App. This variant is XM. this has Remote Central Locking but does not have key less entry function.

They took all the efforts for a nice bokeh / blur effect to emphasize the car & the wrap job. But didn't wait for the canine to pass outside the frame. Or they are using it as a model to pose with the car?!

As for the wrap - I didn't like it much. Not sure if it has improved the looks in any way. On the other hand - the alloys sure look good!

If the key is in the car with the engine off the request sensors work.
If some one forgets the ignition on and locks up with the keys in the car he has a problem.Rahul

The objective of this thread is to provide a clear concise list of features that Tata should implement in Harrier 2021.

As we all have seen in Harrier 2020, Tata has been very proactive in seeking and implementing customers feedback, hence, we as Team-Bhp - one of the most transparent, unbiased and constructive automotive enthusiasts’ platform – should help Tata in providing a specific concise list of buyer expected updates for Harrier 2021 edition.

How will it work?

Step 1 -> Interested members can write features that they would like to see in Harrier. Group them into two categories – ‘MUST HAVE’ and ‘GOOD TO HAVE’.

Step 2 -> Members can share their needs till August 15, 2020 post which we will conclude this thread with a final list.

Step 3 -> We can then request Team-Bhp Seniors and members well connected with Tata leadership to share this list with Tata.

Hopefully, if Tata receives this list by mid-August, the firm should be able to implement the feedback by 2021.

Rules of this thread –

1.) All default Team-BHP forum rules apply.
2.) Do not share detailed experiences, positives and rants about Harrier on this thread. We already have official review for that.
3.) Use only concise statements to justify your ‘MUST HAVE’ and ‘GOOD TO HAVE’. One-liners will be ideal.
4.) Keep in mind this is a Harrier. Do not ask for features to build a Land Rover out of it at this price.
5.) Be very wise in listing features. You cannot get best of both worlds. Tata focuses on build quality, space, D8 platform and exceptional drive at right price as USPs for Harrier. These USPs are quite different to other cars in THIS segment where competitors focus on feel good factors, gizmos or internet features.
6.) Before posting, reread your final list to realise if ‘Must Haves’ and ‘Good to Haves’ are reasonably grouped.

The overall objective is to constructively help Tata which is very proactive in listening to customers on Harrier. A concise and practical list will be a great contribution from Team-BHP to further evolve an already strong vehicle.

I am sharing my list of ‘MUST HAVE’ and ‘GOOD TO HAVE’ as the starting example.

-MUST HAVE-
1.) Factory integrated Front Parking Sensors
2.) Factory integrated TPMS.
3.) Triple headrests on rear seats.
4.) Better rear-view camera.
5.) Speed limiter (Not sure if it is already present).
6.) Sliding front hand rest.

-GOOD TO HAVE-
1.) Rear disk brakes (Though current brakes are already very good).
2.) All interior white Led lights including sunblinds and luggage compartment.
3.) Luggage compartment power socket.
4.) Puddle lamps under side mirrors.
5.) 4X4 (Though expect a heavy price premium).

Re: Voice of Team-BHP : Tata Harrier 2021

Being an owner of the 2020 Harrier XZA, a few things I can think about are:

1) Reclining rear seat
2) Parcel net/organizer for the boot
3) Improved infotainment interface/performance
4) Better looking hornpad
5) Better horn

Re: Voice of Team-BHP : Tata Harrier 2021

Must have:
  1. 5 star rating from GNCAP.
  2. Better ergonomics for the driver. They are horrible if you happen to be tall and wide.
  3. Blindspot monitoring system.
  4. The steering is still a bit inconsistent.
But if I just had to have one of these, I would go with a 5 star rating. I have decided that any new car that I buy now must have a 5 star rating from GNCAP. It's one of the biggest reasons I am holding off on purchasing a Harrier.

Things like connected car features or a better touchscreen don't really matter to me. I can upgrade the touch screen, add better speakers, or buy aftermarket TPMS and front parking sensors.

But aftermarket accessories won't fix the ergonomics.
And no accessory will turn a 2 star car into a 5 star car.
