Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

AX7L 4x4 AT
Burnt Sienna, White interiors.
Feb Mar 2025.
So 2025 mfg is the good news.
But,
I may cancel if bored of waiting or if prices are increased. Will sell 1 of my 2 current vehicles before that.

May get the Gurkha 5 door is I get a really good deal and cancel the Thar Roxx

So various thoughts.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

The delivery date is also depends on the dealer region. They allocate specific count for each region.

My AX7L D AT 4WD black with white interior was booked through a dealer in Bangalore on the booking opening day and received an update that delivery scheduled in May to June 2025. Not in a hurry to get it, and I might change my mind after seeing them enough on roads.

For my Black MX3 P AT, my tentative delivery time line is 10 Nov 2024 to 10 Dec 2024.

My booking was made online within the first 60 odd seconds.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

A query. In view of these ridiculously long waiting periods why doesn't Mahindra redeploy assembly lines of Marazzo? Won't this be financially more prudent. The under utilised assets can deliver more if used for any of their high volume products.

Lucky you!! I booked the exact same variant + colour by 11:01 AM, we are both in Gurugram and I have been given an estimated delivery between 12 Dec to 11 Jan. Disappointed as I wanted to surprise my wife with this as her gift (her first car ever) on her birthday on 12th Nov......seems like it is not likely to materialise

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

How do we know if we are getting early delivery, as there is no tracking on their website or app?

I guess even if you got the window as 10th Nov to 10th Dec, it would have been next to impossible for you to gets your hands on it by 12th Nov.

Btw, I booked in Delhi, same variant incl. color, OTP entered for payment between 11.00 and 11.01 am, the window got stuck at PayU payment page for almost 2 mins. despite showing payment succeeded and upon manual refresh, it reached M&M’s website but to much of my despair showing payment failed and no booking ID generated, giving me the option to try paying again.

Hence, I paid again, which resulted in successful booking message both on the screen and as SMS also, but it was 11.04 by then.

But I got the delivery window of 10th Nov to 10th Dec. may be I’m lucky or perhaps, the first payment attempt didn’t actually fail despite the booking confirmation shown at 11.04

Btw, upon several emails and a phone call, M&M refunded one payment of Rs 21000. Still a mystery where 1st one or 2nd one.

Rush hour online affairs is such a dicey thing even in today’s times.

Yeah! I never imagined beyond 1yr... so my eyes saw 2026 as 2025

Anyways, will keep this booking for now... somehow I hope with cancellations / or production ramp up, Mahindra has to deliver soon. I can't imagine someone booking a car 5 days from launch has to wait 1.5 yrs. How are they even taking bookings with this much wait time.

I read that Mahindra are in talks with Skoda to use their manufacturing capacity. Funnily, When I went for Slavia test ride, the dealer was asking me to order soon, as Skoda will temporarily halt production. I guess their factory should be grossly under utilized.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

I just saw that Mx1 people have been given 2yrs waiting, which just seems unethical to introduce a model which has lower price tag for media frenzy and then don't deliver or show no intent to deliver.

If this is true I would book one Mx1 for sure and cancel at last minute to make sure they manufacture one. Why should manufacture have all the fun.

Why do you say that? Anyone who booked after first 10-15mins is anyways in 2026. Also, I actually see no preference given to AX7Ls. 7L4x4s are definitely slow, probably capacity constraints!

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Received a 2026 timeline for MX1. Straight up went and cancelled my booking. Let the hype cycle end and I'll revisit this car once again around mid next year. Cannot let my booking amount be left with them without interest for "that long".

Although, I must brace myself for delay in receiving the booking amount. Hopefully, it should be done in a few weeks' time.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Hello fellow BHPians,

Congratulations to all who were lucky enough to receive ETD for 2024. Waiting to read your stories once you bring home your prized possession.

I booked my MX3 P AT RWD through dealer at Delhi and received estimated delivery period of Feb’25 to Mar’25. I hope this gives me enough time to re-think in case I get any after thoughts.

For all who got ETD in 2026, I am presuming the timelines might get preponed due to the surge of cancellations which will follow after M&Ms communication. Although I agree that some of these dates are absurd but I feel M&M has been honest enough not to sugar coat their words with rosy dates and then push them to keep buyers hanging.

Please share your buying experience and PDI details.
