My right glove has stopped working on touchscreens unless I try multiple times. I contacted the store I bought these from and they said that although Rynox doesn't provide any warranty on these, they will see what can be done if the thread issue worsens. It hasn't, and I haven't contacted them after that.

Need suggestions for good riding boots for the mountains. Budget is 20K stretchable to 25K.

Do check out the Gaerne range - they should have something within the 25k range per my last recollection. Do try and stretch to something that’s Goretex waterproof or similar. Very handy in the mountains where water crossings / sporadic rains are par for course.

My experience with my 2018 / 19 Forma has been less than optimal (similar experience of many fellow riders as well). My experience with my 2017 Gaerne’s on the other hand has been excellent.

To add to the above point, avoid Falco as well. They are NOT waterproof even with the small rains we get here.Protect they do. I had mine replaced under warranty with same issue by 6Kiom. I'm guessing TCX and Gaerne(mentioned above) is more favored among users here. Get a full lenght model with proper shin protection if possible (telling from experience).CE 2222 certification.

Actually I am kicking myself for delaying the decision for buying the Royal Enfield TCX Stelvio Adventure Boots. They are not in stock anywhere.

They all source from bangalore/mumbai/delhi authorised dealers. In case of warranty issues you'll have to ship back to those places. You can try on the boots at shops like autoqueen,corsogram,dj helmets,gearbox etc.
For Falco boots for example,I went to the official site and got 6Kiom bangalore as India dealer. Orion motors is another one there. A Google search will show up results.

Hi All,
Can someone please suggest rain pants with long inseams to be worn over armoured riding pants? I currently have the Rynox rain pants, but in riding position they expose the upper part of my boots (RE Huntsman), which causes the water to seep in.

Use larger size pants of rynox or any other brand. You can go to the rynox showroom and try out the sizes.i have tried 3xl size for example-pretty long and felt like bell bottom pants. One or two sizes above will do.

My go to rain pants are the ones from decathlon. They are EXCELLENT and have a zip on the side that runs up all the way from base right till the knee. This allows one to put it on and take it off even while riding, even if you’ve got large ADV boots on. A big advantage in changing weather.

I would suggest you go to the store with your riding pants and boots to be sure of the size. Maybe sit on a chair and get up as well to assess mobility, fit in sitting as well as standing position.

Viaterra Spencer Street Mesh Pants

Got these from Lazyassbikers.com. Shipping was prompt and communication was excellent. The pants come in sizes ranging from XS to 4XL, and in-seam lengths of Short and Regular. My waist size is 28" and I am 5'9" tall, which usually is size S Regular for other Indian brands, but for Viaterra size S is 30 and size XS is 28. I ordered S Regular but had to exchange it for XS Regular.

The fit is excellent.


180 degree zipper to connect it to the jacket.






Pocket for tailbone armour. I did not opt for the armour because my airbag vest covers that area.


Viaterra branding and zip pockets on the thighs.




Lightweight level 2 Sastec armor for the knees and the hips.




Except for the impact areas, which are made of cordura, everywhere else is made of mesh.


For the price (Rs 8499), these are fantastic. Hope it will serve me well for the next 4-5 summers.

Excellent choice. This has been on my radar for a while. Couple of questions:

- the knee armour I believe is non adjustable. Did you have any issues with placement? Also, I’m a little over 5 11’. Do u think armour placement might be an issue?

- do you think the pants would be easy to tuck inside MX / tall boots? Don’t think these would go over big bulky boots (I have the sidi crossfire 3)

Update after some 3000kms and maybe 2 months or so - the left rubber pad tore and also came off the boot.

I went back to the same cobbler and got it reinforced with double rubber padding this time. In fact, he took it as a challenge to make it last longer this time and also added a neat leather finish on top of the rubber. Unfortunately, he didn't like the look of it so he took it off He has promised a more thorough solution the next time I return though.

It all started by using the rolling machine to sandpaper the boots and the rubber pads so that they stick proper.




He reinforced the toe region with a small patch of leather, on top of which, he placed the rubber pads. Impressive!










He even polished the boots at the end.

Not too happy that these boots skimped on toe shift padding.

Overall, I was blown away by his sincerity. So many life lessons chatting with him for an hour or so
