Could not find any bypass at least on Google Maps. Maybe someone with local route knowledge can guide better.
Explored a bit on google maps. How does this option look

Re: Hyderabad to Nagpur : Route Queries

Chindwara route is pretty awesome, except for a few potholes here and there. It's scenic too. The only bad stretch is around Pandharkawada (Telangana-Maharashtra border) where in you'll find rough patches, potholes and lots of diversion. Did this stretch during the 3rd week of October.

The bypass for Chindwara is very easy to miss, so keep an eye.

Cheers!

Did you mean the bypass that goes around Chindwara or something that goes around Nagpur toward Chindwara ?

Don't take this bypass, its not in good shape, NHAI is working on making it 4 lane and the current road is not being repaired. Take the old ring road, chatrapati square to Hingna t-point to wadi to katol road and to mankapur square and on to Chindwara road. This will help you get through the city faster.

Re: Hyderabad to Nagpur : Route Queries

Hi all,

Just did Hyd to Bhilai (740km) last weekend. Started from Hyderabad at 6.45am and reached Bhilai by evening 8.30 pm including two breaks of 45 mins each and few shorter breaks. The route is excellent within Telengana, Maharashtra border is not great with patches where work is still going on, road at Wadki is pretty bad for a short distance though.

Hinganghat onwards the road is again excellent till Bhilai. There are few stretches of double lane near forest areas of MH-CG border, but overall drive quality is superb.

Returned on sunday, again starting at 6.30am but reached at 9pm, as we took more stops (kids got bit too excited). Temperature is rising but was still manageable.

Didn't manage to get any hold of any service center in Bhilai due to Holi weekend, but the car did a great job. Its an 8 year old Figo ZXi, ran over 90k KM.

Re: Hyderabad to Nagpur : Route Queries

Hi All - planning to travel from Hyderabad to Agra via Nagpur and Sagar, as part of a road trip. While contacting RouteO maps, they advised to take the Seoni route (AH43) through Pench national park and not the Chhindwara route. From the multiple posts here, you have advised not to take the Seoni route. I'm confused. Just wanted to check the road conditions and whether it is fine to take the Seoni route as advised by HVK/RouteO.

Re: Hyderabad to Nagpur : Route Queries

Recently drove down from Jabalpur to Bangalore via Nagpur and Hyderabad on 21, 22 and 23 April and here is the road update:

Jabalpur to Lakhnadaun - Horrible roads, very dusty, lots of diversions and weird bits of construction going on. At some stretches, they have made one side concrete and one side tarred roads and on other stretches, they have made either both sides concrete or both sides tarred. I didn’t understand the logic behind this; can someone help me out?

Post Lakhnadaun till Nagpur -
The next stretch of proper 4-lane highway starts from Madhai and continues all the way till Mohgaon. The entire forest region after Mohgaon is 2 lane but in a very good condition. There are about 4-5 bridges which are yet to be completed and you need to take a diversion but overall, a smooth ride. Looks like this route will be fully operational in another 3-4 months. Though driving down the Chinddwara route would have been a much smoother ride, I didn't take that route as I had driven down that route while coming to Jabalpur and secondly I just wanted to see the road condition of the Seoni-Nagpur route.

Nagpur to Hyderabad - Road construction is still going on at certain stretches in Pohna, Wadki but about 60% of the construction seems to complete. There are places wherein you have to take diversions or travel on the wrong side of the road, but you can still move at comfortable speeds (50-60 kmps).

Saw this shipment of Mahindra tractors a short distance after Pohna.

The flyover at the Hinganghat railway crossing is fully operational now. However, the long traffic jams at the railway crossing have been replaced by 8-10 unmarked speed-breakers before and after the flyover which give you a terrible jolt and make you feel as if you are riding on a camel. How in the world do people come up with such ideas; But once you cross Pandharkawada and enter TS, its bliss. The stretch between Pandharkawada and Adilabad has been completed with only a few remaining stretches which need to be joined together.

[*]Bangalore - Hyderabad has remained as good; Nothing special mentioning

[*]Hyderabad - Adilabad has been excellent as every; One of the best tarmac to drive

[*]Adilabad - Pandharkawada - Hinganghat : Has improved by a huge margin that one would hardly recollect if there were bad roads at all

Not in good shape( construction of 4 lane going on) but passable by any car. If you plan to cross this section early in the morning better to go via city, else you can take this.

Thanks Pramod.
I am planning to cross Nagpur around midnight. So it seems going via city is the best option

I am driving up North from Bangalore. How is the 'Nagpur ring road - Pench - Seoni' stretch now after the initial rains? Any reason why people are recommending the Chhindwara route?

The cement road from Mansar to MP border is almost done ( one side), you can maintain good speed in any car. You can take Nagpur-Pench-Seoni , however Seoni to Jabalpur is not in good shape.
