Sagar,at that budget try to get accommodation at the KSTDC Valley View. This is next to Raja Seat. I think it may be around Rs 3000. The rooms are big and clean and has a great view.

Recommendations on budget hotels in Vijayawada close to NH5 or NH9 ? Budget around 2k.I'll be staying for 9-10 hrs overnight so don't want to spend too much. Also where exactly is APTDC berm park located ? Could not find anything on Google.

Here is the APTDC Haritha, Berm Park.
It's on the NH 9 and will come on your left when you are coming towards Hyderabad. Drive slowly after crossing the Krishna barrage and Kanaka Durga Hill and keep looking for the entrance gate of the APTDC Haritha Resort, because it is not very prominently visible.

re: A thread on Accommodation & Rates

Guys, I need a recommendation on a clean and safe hotel in Bombay (town). It should be:
1. Safe
2. Clean, will have 2 kids with us. so no insects, cockroaches, unclean bedding etc.
3. around 15 minutes driving/ taxi time from VT station. to indicate the area I am looking for.
4. Secure parking space would be ideal!

Please note my budget is not in the Oberoi/ Taj range. Food etc. should not be a concern as we expect to eat out.

KABINI - Nagarhole Accomodation on Nov 1

Planning to go with 3 other families to Kabini/Nagarahole on 1st Nov for two nights.

Most of the resorts seem to be booked. How is Kings Sanctuary? They seem to have some availability.

Also, how does one get a proper safari organised? Does one need to go to JLR and book there?

Most resorts in wildlife places have exorbitant tariff - I am not sure why.

Many years ago, I had stayed in Jungle Inn.
I believe it is still the cheapest.

They had organized a jeep safari - perhaps they have some arrangement with the forest department. It took them 15-20 minutes at the forest gate for the formalities.

re: A thread on Accommodation & Rates

Guys,

Any recommendations in Wayanad? We're getting Wayanad Blooms's bamboo hut for 3k. Any other place nearby / around Vythiri which you would recommend? We're a couple with a two yearold, so stuff like animals on the premises or a safe area where he can run amok is a key decision criteria.

re: A thread on Accommodation & Rates

Just back after a Rajasthan trip, en famille. Covered Agra, Jaipur and Udaipur.

Stayed in Arya Niwas in Jaipur. A very good choice. Economical too. Just three kms from the railway station. Strongly recommend it to everyone.

In Udaipur we put up in Aashiya Haveli. Located barely 200 m from the city palace and bang on Lake Pichola. It offers an excellent panoramic view of the lake. A haveli turned into hotel, it is well managed and is also strongly recommended.

There are no good hotels in Nagapattinam. The relatively better one is Hotel Seahorse, which in itself is lousy

I don't remember any hotels in Nagore

Better stay at Karaikal, half an hour away from Nagore. Hotel Nanda & Hotel Mano Residency are good options. Hotel Atlantic Inn is another decent option (Restaurant is good here, though rooms are average), whereas the restaurant/food options in the first two are below average

re: A thread on Accommodation & Rates

Hi Guys,

Planning drive to Rajasthan in November with my wife and 3 years old son.
Please suggest standard and family friendly accommodation options (needless to say with parking facility) in Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Jodhpur. Budget is max 3K per day if property is really good. Even Homestays will do in these places.

re: A thread on Accommodation & Rates

Stayed at Sea Gate Resorts, Velankanni last week. The place is very close to the church. Spotted the staff wearing Country Club T shirts.

Rooms are clean and good. Service is too slow, may be because of busy weekend. The boys collect payment for any room service on the spot :(

They advertise swimming pool as an attraction which is very crowded and works from 9am to 5pm only.

IMO, they are over rated.
