There is Ginger @ New Delhi rail station. The new kid on the block however is Bloomrooms, check it out http://www.bloomrooms.com/hotels-railwayst.php

The Arakashan road is full of scores of hotels, most of them are now clean and suitable for families. Suggest you to look up trip advisor.

re: A thread on Accommodation & Rates

Can anyone please recommend a good hotel in Yelagiri, other than Taj Zeenath?

I saw in Tripadvisor that many new hotels have opened shop there.

Any feedback of these will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you managed to find a place for your stay? I too am planning a trip in the middle of May and considering Golden Swan Beach Resort (tripadvisor reviews look good). They are offering me Rs. 5000 per night (incl Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). I haven't bargained yet. But, please share if you know any better place.

Hello procrj,

I had stayed at the said hotel, albeit a year back and actually frequent it often when I visit Udupi. It is a good place with attached restaurants (both veg - non veg) and decent food. It has been for years one of the best and famous in Udupi and I would definitely recommend it.

Rajesh.
'Ginger' near Kottara Chowki and 'Suraj International' near Suratkal are some of the options around NH17 in M'lore.

re: A thread on Accommodation & Rates

Can you please suggest a home-stay/resort accommodation in Coorg/Madikeri/Nagarhole for 7 people - 4 adults and 3 kids; which is light on pocket and is a kid-friendly place? This will be for 2 nights and overall budget for 2 nights is around 20-25K for all of us. Any option available like that?

If you are lucky, you will get accommodation at Victorian Verandaz and it should fit the bill as well.

BTW:Coorg is the district & Madikeri is the HQ.

Planning on driving to Kukke Subramanya.

I would like to stay in Kukke in the near vicinity of the temple for the night. Recommendations and prices? Single occupancy. A car park will be well worth it.

You can try Anugraha Lodge, decent budget accomodation within walking distance from the temple, has a car park (uncovered) as well as backup generators - http://anugrahakukke.in/
